It is not known whether these are contemporary with the Roman road or are much later field boundaries or drainage features. 2 Introduction 2.1 This is the report on an archaeological watching brief carried out by Colchester Archaeological Trust (CAT) for Mersea Homes between the 5th of December 2000 and the 14th of February 2001. -
