THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be:

1. To impose No Waiting at Any Time on part of Convent Drive and Hinckley Road, Stoke Golding

A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA, at the offices of Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, Hinckley Hub, Rugby Road, Hinckley LE10 0FR. STATEMENT OF REASONS

Leicestershire County Council proposes to make the following order.

As a result of a residential development in the area, the opportunity has arisen to review the parking controls within the area.

Therefore, in the interests of road safety, officers are therefore proposing to impose a no waiting at any time restriction around the junction of Convent Drive with Hinckley Road.

This scheme will introduce new restrictions of no waiting at any time on Convent Drive.

The Leicestershire County Council (“the Council”) in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) as amended, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act hereby makes the following Order:-

1. This Order shall come into operation on <> and may be cited as “The Leicestershire County Council (Various Roads, The Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth) Consolidation Order 2017 (Convent Drive and Hinckley Road, Stoke Golding) (Amendment 5) Order 201

2. The "Leicestershire County Council (Hinckley and Bosworth Borough) Consolidation Order 2017" is hereby amended by the plan(s) specified in the First Schedule to this Order and with the inclusion of the plan(s) specified in the Second Schedule, attached hereto.
