Algeria Presentation Algéria Presentation Algeria (in Arabic:, Tamazight: Dzayer), officially the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, is a state of the Northern Africa that is part of the Maghreb. It is the largest country bordering the Mediterranean and the largest one of Africa. REGULATIONS & RULES 1. The 3rd African Youth Games are governed by specific General Regulations. 2. The Rules and Regulations in Technical and Refereeing of the World Karate Federation are the only applicable ones during the Competitions. 3. The karate competitions will take place during two (02) days (Thursday 26 and Friday 27 July 2018). 4. Each National Federation can only register one competitor per category and one team in kata for male and also for female. 5. During the draw, the four finalists of the previous African Youth Games must be separated as much as possible (competitors for individual events and National Federations for team events) 6. Competitions will be held on four (04) aligned tatamis; Four (04) other tatamis will be put in place for the warm-up of the teams. 7. There will be no break. For catering at specific times specially equipped rooms must be available for referees and officials. 8. Kumite events have a duration of three (03) minutes for Males and two (02) minutes for Females. 9. The Bunkaî in Kata team events (Male and Females) is mandatory for obtaining medals in the Final. C. OTHER TECHNICAL PROVISIONS 1. All Coaches must be registered with their teams and must participate in the coaches briefing. 2. Only qualified Referees and Judges will be allowed to officiate at the 3rd African Youth Games in Algeria. 3. All Referees must take part in the refereeing briefing before being authorized to officiate at the 3rd African Youth Games in Algeria. 4. Only competitors with the official WKF equipment (GI and Others protections) will be allowed to participate in the 3rd African Youth Games in Algeria. 5. Each Country must provide on arrival two (02) flags and a CD-ROM or a USB key with the National Anthem of the country. 6. Athletes born in the year 2000 must not reach the age of 18 on the first day of the competition. 7.
