We had a wonderful turnout! The best part was, as always, the peo- ple that we met. All of the money we make at our events goes towards paying for our building. Our goal is to get this beautiful building paid for as soon as possi- ble so that we can open up to more ‘free’ events. So ‘thanks’ again to everyone! Three of the people we met over the weekend were gentlemen who enjoy bluegrass and country music as much as we do. Each of them expressed an interest in being part of a ‘jam’ once a week. This is an idea we have toyed with before and nothing has come of it. If you are interested in getting together with other musicians for a weekly (or monthly) jam, please TEXAS TALES AND TRAILS. Farmers & Merchants Bank Serving DeLeon and Eastland, Texas Identity Theft

Identify theft is one of the nation’s fastest growing, most expensive criminal enterprises. Each year over 25,000 Texans report being victims of identity theft with thousands more unaware that their information and bank accounts have been targeted. Identity thieves use stolen information to obtain credit cards, open new accounts, make long distance and col- lect calls, and make purchases on stolen credit cards.

Farmers and Merchants Bank is very committed to helping our customers not become one of the latest victims. The Office of the Texas Attorney Generals maintains a website to help Texans avoid identity theft and provides information on what to do if you become a victim. Type in www.texasfightsidtheft.gov and follow the easy directions. The website is very simple to navigate. There are six steps you can click on to print a packet instruct- ing you what to do if your identity has been stolen. Information is also available to help you avoid becoming a victim of identity theft.

The process is very easy. If you have any questions, please contact us at the bank and we will be happy to assist you. If you do not have interest access, we will be happy to pro- vide the printed material to you. If we work together, we will be able to minimize the risk faced from identity theft.
