A warm welcome to any visitors worshipping with us this morn­ ing, and especially to the Reverend Susan Miller who is leading us in worship today. Flower Calendar for Sunday 30th September is Mrs A Kirkwood. 4. Pastoral Care The Minister will be on holiday from Mon 17 September until Sunday 23 September 2018. In the event of pastoral emergency, could they please contact Rev. Jeanne Roddick of Greenbank Parish Church on 0141 644 1395. 5. Messy Church at Netherlee continues this year on the following dates ; 18/11/18, 20/1/19, 3/3/19. This is for young families on a Sunday afternoon from 4pm to 6pm to experience Church through games, crafts and activities, as well as something to eat as a family. It’s even ok to drop in at the last min­ ute. Why not invite along a family you know? 6. Blythswood Boxes As intimated in the summer Focus the Guild ladies are participating again this year in the Blythswood Christmas Shoe Box Appeal. The boxes are distributed to people in need in Albania, Bulgaria Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Pakistan, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine. We are collecting for women and items must be of a size that can be put into a shoe box. The items suggested by Blythswood are: Toothbrush and Toothpaste, Shampoo, Face cloth/Moist wipes, Deodorant Comb/Brush, Sanitary Products, Soap (not Pears), Underwear, Socks/Tights, Hat, Scarf, Gloves, Moisturising Cream, Sewing Equipment, Kitchen Utensil and New Make-up. Any items donated should be given to Nancy Fisher, Grace Scott, Jan Barr, Anne Mackenzie or Evelyn Graham on a Sunday morn­ ing or at Open Door on a Wednesday. There has been a change of date as to when we are filling the boxes. The boxes will now be filled on Tuesday eve­ ning 26th September. We do hope that as many of the congregation as possi­ ble will join with us donating items for the boxes. 7. Good Money Week The bible is said to have perhaps 2000 verses about money. What does it all mean? What are the ethical and sustainable ways to use and invest our money? Are there practical ways for the Church to help those struggling in poverty. Eastwood Peace and Justice Forum is holding its second Good Money Week open meeting with speakers from Rathbone Ethi­ cal Investment, Christians against Poverty and Christian Aid. All welcome to attend. Monday Oct 8th at 7.30pm. Newton Mearns Baptist Church. 8. Heart and Soul Swing Band Concert is being given by the Church of Scot­ land’s very own swing band on Friday, 28th September at Wellington Church. 9. A Family Ceilidh (known as Gordon’s Social Calendar) will be held in Neth- erlee from 7pm to 10.30pm on Saturday 29th September. Entry is free but dona­ tions to the funding of the next event are invited. You can take your favourite drink if you like (some soft drinks will be available. What is Gordon’s Social Calendar? Gordon and some friends live at Daniel House in Glasgow. Gordon grew up in Netherlee and joined the church as a young man. Now that his parents are gone, and his siblings live in London and Australia, Netherlee church has made a commitment to start a regular series of activities Gordon enjoys which would be equally appealing to various groups of Netherlee and Stamperland congregations and the wider community. These ac­ tivities will take place roughly once a month under the heading of “Gordon’s So­ cial Calendar”. Activities will include games, crafts, cycling, swimming, cinema, climbing and many others - so there should be something that might interest some or all of you at least some of the time. The first of these activities will be the above ceilidh at which we will also celebrate Gordon’s birthday. Please come and share this event with him. 10. The Christian Aid Sponsored Swim is on Saturday 6th October from 6pm to 7.30pm at Eastwood Swimming Pool, in Eastwood Park. There is a list in the ves­ tibule for those who wish to sponsor the swimmers. There are sponsor forms available from Russell Brown and Sandra Cowie for those who would like to swim. 11. Crossreach Christmas Card Catalogues are now available from Anne MacKenzie who also has samples of the cards to view before purchase. Name of creator Various ratepayers' groups, residents' organisations and community councils Administrative/ This fonds is an artificial collection, comprising the records of a number of biographical distinct community groups from throughout East Renfrewshire. Ratepayers' history groups and other local organisations existed from at least the 1920's. Community Councils were established from 1977. These are distinct to, but often carry on from, the prior organisations. Archival history These records were deposited, presumably at various times, at libraries in East Renfrewshire. There is no documentation relating to those deposits. The material was held in Library stock until being transferred to "the Bothy" in Eastwood Park and to the store at Neilston Leisure Centre.     NOTICE OF ELECTION NETHERLEE & STAMPERLAND COMMUNITY COUNCIL In accordance with Clause 13.6 of East Renfrewshire Council’s Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils, and Section 52(7) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, I hereby give notice that an election is to be held for 18 members of Netherlee & Stamperland Community Council. Persons wishing to stand for election must be resident in the community council area, aged 16 years or over and be named on the electoral register. The proposer and seconder must also be residents of the community council area and be named on the electoral register. Self-nomination is not permitted. As part of the nomination process candidates are required to submit a personal statement of up to a maximum of 250 words in support of their nomination. To seek approval for the Integration Scheme to establish an East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership and agree to put forward to Scottish Ministers for approval. RECOMMENDATIONS 2. The Board is asked to approve the draft Integration Scheme for submission to the Scottish Ministers. BACKGROUND 3. The Public Bodies (Joint Working)(Scotland) Act 2014 requires health boards and local authorities to integrate planning for, and delivery of, certain adult health and social care services. Regulations made under the Act set out those functions that must be delegated by both the local authority and the health board. However it is also open to them to choose to integrate planning and delivery of other services, for example additional adult health and social care services, beyond the minimum prescribed by Scottish Ministers. 4. The Act requires health boards and local authorities to prepare jointly an integration scheme setting out how the joint working arrangements are to be achieved. There are a number of ways in which they can do this; the health board and the local authority can either delegate their functions to the other party, or both can delegate their functions to a third party known as an Integration Joint Board. This is the approach that has already been agreed by both the Council and the Health Board. The draft scheme, once approved by both parties, must be submitted to the Scottish Ministers for final approval.

The purpose of this report is to advise the Cabinet of the results of the Roads Revenue Programme participatory budgeting exercise, entitled “East Ren Decides”. RECOMMENDATIONS 2. It is recommended that the Cabinet: (a) Notes the results of the participatory budgeting exercise and the ranking of the schemes; (b) Notes the key messages and learning points from the evaluation of the process; (c) Approves the recommendation to take forward the top two schemes in each area; and (d) Authorises the Director of Environment to put the schemes out to tender and adjust the details of the schemes to ensure that the £600,000 allocation is fully committed. BACKGROUND 3. Participatory budgeting is a decision-making process in which residents decide how to allocate part of a public budget. Participatory budgeting allows local people to identify, discuss, and prioritise public spending projects, and gives them the power to make real decisions about how money is spent 4. The Cabinet, at its meeting on 22 June 2017, approved the mechanism to allow a “participatory budgeting” exercise to take place to apportion £600,000 of the Roads Revenue budget allocation. This report now details the outcome of the exercise. 5. The report made clear that it was important to note this was the first time a process of this kind had been carried out in East Renfrewshire and that it would be a learning experience.
