JOB CREATION & ECONOMIC GROWTH IN CENTRAL NOVA

Job creation and economic growth in our region is my top priority as your Member of Parliament. Too many of our young people are forced to move away for work. We can help create good paying jobs here at home so our friends, parents, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters can stay in Nova Scotia. When we announce major projects in our communities that took months or years of work, I am always excited by the economic returns, both direct and indirect, that will follow.

Summer in Central Nova

It’s been an incredible few months here in the riding, and above is just small snapshot of the incredible events and people I’ve had the pleasure of seeing throughout Central Nova.

(Clockwise) From the opening of Mabel Murple’s Book Shoppe and Dreamery in River John, to the lobster banding competition at the Pictou Lobster Carnival; from participating in the Pictou Landing First Nation PowWow and the Cape George Lighthouse celebrations; to seeing friends at the CACL Annual BBQ; from piping in the Moser River Days parade and having a pipe-off with my buddy Dalton at the Trunk 7 Music Festival; from a Citizenship Ceremony welcoming our newest Canadians at the Halifax Stanfield Airport, to singing a song and celebrating Dorothy Williams 100th Birthday in Meagher’s Grant; to the celebration of the Betsey 250 landing in Lyons Brook, and the Race on the River Dragon Boat races in New Glasgow – it has been a fantastic summer connecting directly with you, and hearing about the incredible things you’re doing, celebrating Canada 150, and hearing what matters to you most.

As I head back to Ottawa for another session of Parliament, I bring with me the concerns, stories, and issues that matter most to you, my constituents. Thank you! Stay in touch Toll-free: Follow me on Facebook: 1-844-641-5886
