2021-22 Bachelor’s Degree Guidelines Quick Facts § High School GPA 3.0+ from a partner school § EFC $15,000 or less § Full time enrollment at a partner college/university § $2,000 per semester, renewable up to eight semesters § Apply online directly through attending college Full Details Scholarship Application § 2021 Graduate from one of the following High Schools: o Belfast Area o George Stevens Academy o Oceanside o Boothbay Region o Jonesport-Beals o Searsport District o Bucksport o Lincoln Academy o Shead o Calais o Machias Memorial o Sumner Memorial o Camden Hills Regional o Medomak Valley o Washington Academy o Deer Isle – Stonington o Mount Desert Island o Wiscasset o East Grand o Mount View o Woodland o Ellsworth o Narraguagus § 3.0+ cumulative GPA at high school graduation § File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) o FAFSA’s calculated Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is $15,000 or less § Plan full-time attendance to one of the following institutions: § Bates College § University of Maine System: § Bowdoin College o UMaine (Orono) § Colby College o Augusta § Husson University o Farmington § Maine Maritime Academy o Fort Kent § Thomas College o Machias o Presque Isle o University of Southern Maine § Complete a Worthington Scholarship application on your intended institution’s website § If selected, you will be notified at your high school’s scholarship award ceremony. College Enrollment and Renewal Guidelines for Selected Students § Sign the required forms o Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Release, allowing us access to your academic and financial aid information o Worthington Scholarship Foundation Award Letter, acknowledging and agreeing to the terms of the scholarship § Create and maintain an account on Worthington Connect, our online portal. § Enroll for a minimum of 12 credits per semester § Successfully earn 24 credits in an academic year § Earn a cumulative 2.0+ GPA in first year of college § Maintain a 2.5+ GPA second year of college and beyond .
