YPT: Theater by young people for people of all ages! So professionally done that you will forget you are watching young people perform!

About Annie…

YPT’s very own local young people take center stage with one of the world’s best-loved musicals, Annie! With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts, despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930’s New York City.

Annie, based on the popular comic strip heroine, is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage and overcome her “hard-knock” life. With the help of all the girls in the orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous and magical world of New York City. She foils Miss Hannigan’s evil plot, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new home and family with billionaire, Oliver Warbucks and a loveable mutt named Sandy!

Come on along to NYC as YPT presents Annie on the Lydia Mendelssohn stage for you!

Here’s What the Critics Say About Annie…

"A must-see for fans of Broadway’s favorite redheaded orphan." – Jessica Shaw, Entertainment Weekly, 2013

"For all the freight of timeliness, this remains a sweet spot of a family musical, full of adorable, but not sticky-adorable, waifs punching the air with their teeny fists and belting "Tomorrow" over and over until every cynic within earshot might be a believer." – Linda Winer, Newsday, 2012

“Every time I see a production of "Annie," I'm impressed again with what a really good show it is.” – Robert Feldberg, NorthJersey.com, 2012
