This & That ROSTER MOVE--The Royals have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Al Alburquerque from Omaha (AAA) and optioned left-handed pitcher Eric Skoglund to the Storm Chasers...to make room on the 40-man roster, Kansas City has placed left-handed pitcher Matt Strahm on the 60-day disabled list due to a torn left patellar tendon suffered in Saturday’s afternoon game against the Twins...the 31-year old Alburquerque appeared in five games for KC earlier this summer, going 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA...he had a 2.08 ERA in 22 games for Omaha and has been at his best of late, working five straight scoreless outings totaling 6.2 innings...he will wear #62. HALFWAY HOME--Yesterday’s win also marked the midway point in the 2017 season, with Kansas City entering the home stretch a game over .500 at 41-40...it’s taken a huge effort to get to above break-even at the mid-season mark after a 10-20 start to the campaign...the Royals entered play on May 8 with a 10-20 ledger, but has since played at a .608 clip (31-20), which is the fourth best mark among all Major League clubs in that span and second best in the American League to only Houston (.685, 35-16)...recently, KC has gone 15-6 in the last 21 games and been unbeaten in eight of its last nine series, going 7-1-1 since the first of June.
