This year’s meet is the biggest in its stories history with more than 7,700 athletes entered to Volunteer Assistant - Distance/XC __________ James Croft compete at Mike A. Myers Stadium over the four days. Twitter: @TexasTFXC | Instagram: utexastrackfieldxc Olympic medalists, NCAA champions, current, former and future Longhorns will face athletes from across the nation in what will be another spectacular week of track and field. 2017 SCHEDULE INDOOR Action starts at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when athletes competing in the heptathlon and decathlon begin their two January days of battle. The field includes Olympic silver medalist and Lifetime Longhorn Trey Hardee. Thursday’s action will 13-14 Texas A&M Team Invitational College Station, Texas feature the conclusion of the multi-events along with a few field events, mid-distance races and the steeplechase. 20-21 Rod McCravy Memorial Lexington, Ky. Friday will see more than 12 hours of action with field events starting at 9 a.m. and running events still going at 10 Cherry & Silver Collegiate Invitational Albuquerque, N.M. p.m. The running events will include prelims for many events and some finals for the non-traditional relay races. 27-28 Houston Invitational Houston, Texas Saturday will see another full day of excitement and the close of the meet with the Sanya Richards Ross 4x400 Meter February Relay and the Cleburne Price, Jr. 4x400 Meter Relay events. 3-4 Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational Lincoln, Neb. New Mexico Collegiate Classic Albuquerque, N.M. The Longhorn Network will again provide 14 hours of coverage for fans to watch on television, with 11 hours of live Armory Track Invitational New York, N.Y. coverage. Freshman Elena Bruckner will sing the National Anthem on Friday, and presented by Spectrum Saturday will see Dynamic Soul perform the anthem on Saturday in conjunction with the Urban Music Festival. He hit the sand, then bounded out the back of the pit and sprinted down the tarmac. After he saw his mark, he then sprinted the other way in elation. His final jump eclipsed Luvo Manyonga of South Africa by half an inch or one centimeter. Manyonga had jumped 8.37 meters before Hen- derson's jump.     2017 USATF ANNUAL MEETING COMMITTEE REPORTS 2017 Athletes Advisory Committee Annual Report Submitted October 30, 2017 Purpose: The purpose of this report is to summarize the strategic goals and progress towards such of the USATF Athletes Advisory Committee in 2017. Strategic Goal #1: Athlete Funding & Support Increase athlete funding through prize money, stipends, Revenue Distribution Plan The RDP contract is being finalized between the national office and the AAC to ensure fair treatment and no room for interpretation. A plan for the 2018 RDP money (since there is no team to make and be paid for) is being presented to the national office. Athletes need to be paid on time, in a predictable manner. A schedule is being put together detailing when each type of payment can be expected (Tier payments, prize money, RDP), to which the national office will be held accountable. The Emergency Relief Fund was finalized in 2016 to provide emergency financial assistance to current or recently retired athletes facing a catastrophic event causing financial distress. In 2017, the fund was first used to help athletes in dire situations. USATF has funded the account initially, with the AAC being responsible for future fundraising. Strategic Goal #2: Domestic Competitive Opportunities It is important to the AAC that we continue to seek out opportunities for domestic competitions to reduce the dependency on the European circuit. 2019 will be an especially important year, as the World Championships will take place much later than usual (late Sept/early Oct). We will need domestic competitive opportunities in June, July and August of 2019.

USC scored 53 points to edge out Georgia (52) and Stanford (51), who were both not in the final relay. It was the first time in NCAA history that the top three teams finished within two points of each other. USC's title was its first since 2001 and its 53 points were the most by the Trojans since scoring 57 points in placing third in 2002. The national title is the 106th for the USC athletics program. USC earned 22 first-team All-America honors at the meet. USC scored 52 of its 53 points on the final day, with Angie Annelus in the 200m dash joining the 4x400m relay as a national champion.
