Siamese Cat Club Tonkinese Cat Club Wyvern Cat Club 01.09.2018 Lizz Adair What a pleasure to judge at today’s show, thank you to Barbara for the very kind invitation, some excellent incentives to enter today ensuring a good number of quality kittens present. I had the pleasure to judge in both the Pedigree Section 3 and the HP/PP section where the quality was truly outstanding today. Thank you to Matthew who was back by my side stewarding today. Wyvern Cat Club Black Kitten Male 1st & Best of Breed – McEntee's Xzibit Bear Hug (BSH n) Black Male 23.02.2018 What a difference a month can make! I last handled this super boy just 5 weeks ago but the difference with him today is considerable, with much improvement to the balance of his head and in particular his ears since the last time we met. Though they are still open at the base they are now sitting very well into the contours of his head with excellent width between, with rounded tips. His head is large, broad and powerful with excellent underlying bone structure, set on a very short, very thick neck. His eyes are well-rounded with good width between; they could just be a fraction larger though he has a super open British expression. His eye colour is copper. His nose is perfectly short with no exaggeration in type and broad, with broad muzzle and nose leather. Firm, broad chin and level bite. His cheeks are now beginning to develop well. His body for his age is showing impressive proportions, he is large and of excellent substance and weight with considerable bone to his short, very thick strong legs and he defines rounded paws. His coat is short, dense with good resilience, whilst it is still retaining some kitten softness; it is also beginning to change in texture to crisp up particularly in the centre of his shoulders where his adult coat is establishing itself. His colour is still completely sound to the roots; his black is even in tone throughout showing minimal ghost markings on his face and tail. He is truly a joy to handle so gentle and in presented in top show condition, whilst I liked the female winner, I awarded him the BOB today because he had the edge on type and maturity. 2nd Edney’s Rocadanne Storm (BSH n) Black Male 14.05.2018 A young male just 4 ½ months old at the in-between stage but showing obvious British qualities, just with a couple of colour issues today. His head could be better rounded as its broader and rounder across the top of his head then his muzzle which could have more width for balance. His ears are medium in sized, a fraction open at the base, but otherwise fitting well into the contours of his head, with rounded tips. He has a gently rounded brow leading to a nose which is medium in length and straight in profile. Firm chin and level bite. His colour around his nostrils is unusually sunkissed with a distinct brown colouration and i mention it only for the fact it really distracts your eye to narrow his nose more so than it is in actuality. His body is fairly cobby of equal proportions with medium tail to balance which is thicker at the base and rounded at the tip. His legs could be thicker but they are strong with firm paws. His colour is just a touch dull at present and pales to the roots somewhat. There are white hairs present on his head and some single hairs in random places on his body, chest, flanks, chest and abdomen. Showing a degree of ghost markings especially on his face and tail. His coat length and density are excellent it is short and extremely dense with a good texture already, still 1 Siamese Cat Club Tonkinese Cat Club Wyvern Cat Club 01.09.2018 Lizz Adair showing guard hairs to the centre of his back. He was a very sweet natured boy and handled very well. Female 1st Gibson’s Laikenlove Voodoo Black Magic (BSH n) Black Female 19.04.2018 A very attractive young female of 4 ½ months, showing good British type and some excellent coat qualities. Her head is apple in shape, with nicely rounded broad top of head with medium neat ears which fit perfectly into the contours of her head, with reasonable width between and rounded tips. Gentle curve to her brow which leads to a reasonably short and straight nose with firm chin and level bite, for balance her chin could just be a fraction broader. Good round underlying bone structure to her cheeks which are still to fill. Her eyes are large, round with good width between and well opened with a pleasing typically British expression, a transitioning pale muddy colour at the moment. Her head is set on a short thick neck. She stands four square with good depth to her chest, she is a good weight, equally broad across her shoulders and rump, her legs are short, thick and she has firm round paws. Medium tail which is thicker the base and rounded at the tip. Her coat is excellent, it is short, dense and already has an impressive crisp texture developing. The colour pales minimally to the roots. She was a pleasure to handle and presented in excellent physical condition, she ran the male close for BOB. 2nd Smith’s Beauxchats Positively Onyx (BSH n) Black Female 27.04.2018 Another young female of just over 4 months and with the best colour of all the black kittens today. Nicely rounded broad head set on a short thick neck. Good width between medium ears, just a touch pen at the base with rounded tips which are well set into the contours of her head. Rounded brow with nose which is on the longer side, her muzzle however does have good width and fullness which balances the nose to retain her a British type. Her eyes could just be a fraction rounder and they are a tad deep set though good width between, and already a super deep copper coming through. Firm broad chin and level bite. She is starting to go taller, longer leaner in her body though she is broad with super bone to her legs which are proportionally short, thick and strong with firm rounded paws. Medium tail to balance. Her coat is jet black and sound to the roots, it has a real quality look to the colour and intensity, her coat is short and has a degree of density but is just flay laying somewhat. Shown in excellent condition and a very friendly baby. Cream Kitten 1st and Best of Breed Bellingham’s Anetta Custard (BSH e) Cream Male 07.12.2017 A large adolescent male of almost 9 months. Large adolescent head with good width between his ears which are medium in size, with rounded tips and neatly set. His eyes could be larger and the top line is very straight, but well opened and reasonable width between, orange in colour. His nose could be shorter and the break is rather shallow in profile. His muzzle could be broader for balance. Strong firm chin with level bite, which could have more width. He has a huge frame to fill deep chest, Broad back and equally broad rum, he was perhaps standing a trifle tall on strong legs which could just be thicker for balance, medium-long tail thicker at the base and rounded at the tip. His Coat 2 Siamese Cat Club Tonkinese Cat Club Wyvern Cat Club 01.09.2018 Lizz Adair could be shorter and in the centre of his back her is unsound, however between his shoulders where the adult coat is coming in the paling is minimal. His colour is a cool mid-dark cream, showing heavy ghost markings throughout his body, on his face and his tail. He was quite nervous today but handled ok, being much happier in his pen and he was beautifully presented in tip top show condition. AOC Silver Spotted Kitten 1st but Best of Breed Not Awarded – Pantings’ Ronaldo Blue Silver Heidi (BSH as 24) Blue Silver Spotted Female 11.04.2018 A young female of almost 5 months. Medium head, rounded brow with good width between medium ears of correct set. Her nose is a touch straight from the centre of her brow to the tip of her nose. Her muzzle could be broader as it is tending to narrow to the end with cheeks to fill for round balance. Her bite is level; chin could be stronger and broader. Her eyes could have more width between and be rounder in shape though they are large and well opened, in today’s hall lighting they appeared to be green to more the 50% of the eye colour from the centre of the pupil with hazel to the outer, I did take her over to daylight and unfortunately they remained the same. She is a well- built kitten, the head just needing to catch up to her body which is short, broad and cobby with equal proportions. Stood on firm legs with reasonably thick strong legs with rounded paws. Her tail is medium in length thicker at the base and rounded to the tips. Her coat could be shorter, it is very kitten soft and lacking any really density, because of that it is somewhat flat lying. Her colour is a cool mid blue to silver contrast however on her face, paws and chest she is showing a fair degree of tarnish, the spots on her flanks are fairly well broken, but at present her spine line is totally solid.
