Doc Redman Turns Professional, Chooses to Play Full Bag of TaylorMade Equipment and Golf Ball

US Amateur Champion Doc Redman turns professional; signs equipment deal with TaylorMade Golf to play full 14 club bag plus golf ball

Carlsbad, Calif. (May 31, 2018) – TaylorMade Golf Company announced today that current US Amateur champion Doc Redman has chosen to sign a long-term agreement with the company as he embarks on his professional career. The collegiate standout is making his PGA Tour debut (as a pro) this week at the Memorial Tournament in Muirfield.

With his new full bag plus golf ball deal, Redman joins a Tour staff that now includes five of the Top 8 players in the world - Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Jason Day and Jon Rahm, in addition to 14-time major winner Tiger Woods. The 20-year-old from Raleigh, NC, helped Clemson to a 13th place finish in the NCAA Championships while finishing T15th as an individual; he holds the school's scoring average record with 70.70. After playing in the Arnold Palmer Invitational, RBC Heritage and the Masters as an amateur, Redman will forgo his automatic U.S. Open and Open Championship invites to begin his professional career.

Redman will play 14 TaylorMade clubs, the TP5X ball and will wear a TaylorMade hat in addition to carrying a TaylorMade staff bag.

Redman begins his professional career at the Memorial Tournament on Thursday with a first round tee time of 8:59am and then Friday's second round at 1:49pm.
