Durante la última década del mes de mayo al igual que las décadas anteriores, continuaron escasa las precipitaciones en la mayor parte del territorio nacional. De 35 estaciones analizadas en 18 se observa algún grado de sequía, principalmente las localidades pertenecientes a las regionales agropecuarias Central, Suroeste, Sur y Noroeste registrándose sequía severa, extrema y absoluta como es el caso de Bayaguana, La Victoria, Peralta, Pedernales, Monte Cristi etc. Normalmente durante el mes de mayo disminuyen los valores de presencia de sequía en la mayor parte del país, donde mayormente las regionales con mayor afectación son la Regional Sur con 85 % y la Suroeste con 49 % de área cubierta. Recomendamos continua con las medidas de lugar para el buen manejo de las actividades agropecuarias, principalmente en las regionales Sur y Suroeste donde varias de sus localidades presentan condiciones de sequía desde década anteriores. .

In external morphology, Leiocephalus sixtoi sp. nov. is most similar to L. schreibersii and L. inaguae. Leioceph- alus sixtoi differs from L. inaguae in having a U-shaped bony parietal table (vs. V-shaped in L. inaguae), 3 or 4 enlarged postcloacal scales in males (vs. 2 in L. inaguae), most scales on snout posterior to internasal scales rugose to keeled scales (vs. smooth in L. inaguae), and a patternless throat in males, spots on the throat in females (vs. throat with dark streaks and bars in males and females of L. inaguae). Desvió De Las Precipitaciones En El Mes De Enero 2021
DESVIÓ DE LAS PRECIPITACIONES EN EL MES DE ENERO 2021 COMPORTAMIENTO DE LAS PRECIPITACIONES DURANTE EL MES DE ENERO 2021 EN LA REPUBLICA DOMINICANA Durante el mes de enero las precipitaciones resultaron muy deficientes prácticamente en todo el territorio nacional, finalizando el mismo con -65.9 % por debajo de los valores normales. Las estaciones analizadas durante este periodo analizado resultaron todas por debajo de los valores esperados, registrándose los menores valores en las regionales agropecuarias Suroeste y Sur con valores de 13.1 mm en Hondo Valle, 2.2 en San José de la Maguana, 4.4 Barahona, 2.5 en Cabral (Barahona), 1.9 mm en Neyba y 10.9 en Oviedo, observándose ausencia total de lluvias durante todo el mes en varias localidades entre las que mencionamos Azua, Elías Piña, Padre Las Casas, Duvergé y Pedernales. En cambio los mayores valores de lluvias por encima de los 50 mm se presentaron en Sabana de la Mar con 69.6 mm, Villa Altagracia 66.0, Bonao Juma 73.3, Jarabacoa 73.1, Salcedo 67.5, Gaspar Hernández 61.4 y Puerto Plata con 68.2 mm sucesivamente. Durante el mes de enero los desvíos porcentuales resultaron negativos en todas las regionales agropecuarias que comprenden el país, registrándose los mayores valores de desvíos negativos porcentuales en las regionales agropecuarias Suroeste con -86. 3 % y Noroeste con -83.6 %.
