Portable showers provided by the city of LA are set up at the churches and Assistance League provide all the essentials; soap, shampoo, shaving cream, razor, toothpaste, toothbrush, and socks. The Bear Buddies program continues with stuff bears delivered to Providence Hospital, Tarzana, Valley Presbyterian Hospital ER and Pediatrics Units, Van Nuys, and the Center for Assault Treatment Services, Dignity Hospital, Northridge. Kids Kits, consisting of children’s activity items including a new book to promote literature, are sent to the Northridge Dignity Health Hospital Pediatric Unit as well as to their waiting rooms for children waiting for family member who are in the hospital.
