In most cases, the Trust Board members of an NHS organisation are also trustees of the charitable funds held by that organisation and this is the case for Ceredigion and Mid Wales NHS Trust. Statutory Instrument Number 504 1995 formally transferred the NHS Charitable Funds relating to Ceredigion from the control of Dyfed Health Authority to the Trust on 1st April 1995. The statutory instrument was made by order of the Secretary of State for Wales and Ceredigion and Mid Wales NHS Trust Board members became trustees for the funds. In total, the Trustees approved expenditure of £548,000 during the year to improve patient care, examples of which are shown in the following list.
