Girnar ropeway is a ropeway on Mount Girnar which is Asia's longest ropeway. First proposed in 1983, the construction started only in September 2018 due to government approval delays and litigation. The construction and operation is managed by Usha Breco Limited. The project was inaugurated on 24 October 2020 by now Prime Minister .[9] It connects Girnar taleti to Jain goddesses temple within 10 minutes of ropeway ride. The ropeway is 2,320 metres (7,600 ft) long, takes passengers 850 metres (2,800 ft) above the hill to the Ambika temple.

Girnar is one of the most important and holy pilgrimage centres of both Hindus and Jains. Girnar is a range of mountains usually known as the Girnar Hills. Girnar has been mentioned in the Vedas and also in the scriptures from the Indus Valley Civilization proving that it has always been respected as a sacred place.

Start early in the morning, carry plenty of water, and stop for rest often during the hot hours of the day, and your climb of Mt. Girnar will be fruitful. We were at Taleti around 12:30 am.
