STATEMENT OF NEED Advances in urology should be presented on a regular basis as one means of updating physicians on the latest developments in their specialty. COURSE GOALS & OBJECTIVES Weill Medical College of Cornell University CME Activities are intended to lead to improved patient care. By the conclusion of this series, physicians should have a better understanding of recent developments in urology which in turn should lead to improvements in clinical care.     2017 Annual Report Lewis C. Cantley, Ph.D. Meyer Director Translating basic science discoveries into clinical applications that change the standard of care for cancer patients is the central mission of the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center. In the past year, we have continued to strengthen the support we provide to our members through programs and resources that will broaden our impact in basic science, translational research and patient care. Leadership Leadership is a critical component of an effective organization, and the Meyer Cancer Center senior leadership team provides strategic direction and oversight in the areas of basic science, clinical research, clinical care and administration. • John Blenis, Ph.D., Associate Director of Basic Science, oversees the direction of basic science research programs, as well as the Collaborative Research Initiative, the annual Meyer Cancer Center pilot grant program. • Julie L. Boyer, Ph.D., Associate Director of Administration, supports all aspects of cancer center strategic development and provides oversight for cancer center initiatives and resources. • Andrew Dannenberg, M.D., Associate Director of Cancer Prevention, provides recommendations on program development in population sciences. • Howard A.
