Mindset: Students and parents & Academic culture National Erasmus+ Office - Jordan Jordan - Programme Countries Erasmus+ Networking Seminar Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dead Sea, Jordan 21-22 October 2019 As a response to the HRD strategy, a NQF was developed by a task force formed by the Prime Minister, using the experience gained from an Erasmus+ project. The finished NQF was adopted by the Government. Also, the Law of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (18), for the year 2018 was modified to meet the HRD strategy and internationalization component. Article 3 - The higher education aims to achieve the following: 1.Improving the performance of higher education institutions and the quality of their outputs, and increasing their global competitiveness by developing the capacity of their teaching and administrative staff, keeping abreast of developments in ICTs, integrating them in teaching and research, and obtaining international accreditation of institutions and programs. 2.To encourage differentiation and diversity among institutions of higher education to enable them to focus on scientific research and attract outstanding scientific expertise on the one hand, and teaching to graduate the human cadres necessary to meet the needs of the labor market on the other hand. Establishing International Students’ Affairs Directorate (2017) aims at: • Attraction of international students to Jordan, • Providing support and guidance to international students from the earliest stages of applying until their graduation and departure. Al‐Zaytoonah University Mission: to graduate distinguished and qualified students to serve the market and enrich it in the leading technological fields of ICT, electronics, business, and communications. Our graduates will be capable of competing academically and professionally in the national and international jobs markets, Administration and staff to implement plans of internationalization activities.
