Starts at the northern end of Pyebush Lane and runs in north westerly direction along the parish boundary to join Upton with Fishley Footpath No. 8. Byway Open to All Traffic No. 2 (Mill Lane to Windle Road). Starts from Mill Lane and runs in a west north westerly direction then turns west south westwards to enter Windle Road. Footpath No. 3 (Damgate Lane to Damgate). Starts from Damgate Lane and runs southwards to enter the public highway at Damgate. Footpath No. 4 (Damgate Lane to Damgate). Starts from Damgate Lane near the claypit and runs southwards then westwards to enter the public highway at Damgate near a well. Footpath No. 5 (A1064 to Acle Bridge). Starts from the A1064 Acle to Caister Road, and runs generally eastwards to a point near the Rebas Riverside Inn, then continuing eastwards to join the northern end of Footpath No. 7 near Acle Boat Dyke. The path then continues eastwards to the river wall and then runs in a northerly direction along the river wall past the drainage pump to rejoin the A1064 Road at Acle Bridge. Footpath No. 6 (Footpath No. 7 to Stokesby Ferry). Starts from Footpath No. 7 at Acle Boat Dyke Staithe and runs eastwards to the river wall. The path then continues along the river wall passing the disused draining pump and the northern end of Footpath No. 9 to terminate at Stokesby Ferry. Footpath No. 6(a) Starts from a point on Acle Footpath No. 6 where a stile is situated at grid reference TG 4143 1051 and runs in a generally south easterly direction along the crest of the south bank of the river Bure for approximately 79 metres to a stile at grid reference TG 4146 1044. The footpath continues for a further 4 metres to a stile at grid reference TG 4146 1043 before continuing for approximately 156 metres to a stile grid reference TG 4159 1035. The route then turns to run in a generally easterly direction for approximately 165 metres to grid reference TG 4175 1034 before turning in a north easterly direction for 313 metres to grid reference TG 4197 1054. The footpath then turns in a south easterly direction along the crest of the south bank of the river Bure for approximately 290 metres to join Acle FP6 at grid reference TG 4219 1036. The width of the footpath is 2 metres. Oct 2019 Footpath No. 6(c) Starts from a point on Acle Footpath No. 6 at grid reference TG 4226 1034 and runs in a generally south easterly direction along the crest of the south bank of the river Bure for approximately 203 metres to join Acle FP6 at grid reference TG 4245 1031. The width of the footpath is 2 metres. Oct 2019 Footpath No. 6(e) Starts from a point on Acle Footpath No. 6 at grid reference TG 4259 1030 and runs in a generally easterly direction for 54 metres to grid reference TG4264 1030 at which points it turns in a north easterly direction along the crest of the south bank of the river Bure for approximately 58 metres to join Acle FP6 at grid reference TG 4270 1032. The width of the footpath is 2 metres. Oct 2019 Footpath No. 7 (Footpath No. 5 to New Road). Starts from Footpath No. 5 near Acle Boat Dyke Staithe and runs southwards passing the western end of Footpath No. 6 to enter New Road opposite the northern end of Footpath No. 8. Footpath No. 8 (New Road to Parish Boundary). Starts from New Road opposite the southern end of Footpath No. 7 and runs in a southerly direction crossing the railway line where there are two field gates and then continues southwards to the Parish boundary where it joins Halvergate Footpath No. 1. Footpath No. 9 (Footpath No. 6 to Tunstall Dyke). Starts from Footpath No. 6 near Stokesby Ferry and runs in a southerly direction along the river wall to a point about 100 metres north of Tunstall Dyke. The path then continues westwards and southwards for approximately 130 metres to a point on the north side of Tunstall Dyke. Footpath No. 10 (Acle Way Bridge Staithe). Starts from the highway, south of Wey Bridge, and runs northwards to the river bank. The path then turns eastwards and passes under the bridge by a footway to run along the water front of the staithe, eventually turning southwards along the eastern side of the staithe to join Footpath No. 5. PARISH OF ALDERFORD Footpath No. 1 (Reepham Road to Parish Boundary). Starts from Reepham Road by a stile opposite the back entrance to Church Farm, and runs north eastwards to parish boundary where it crosses a footbridge to join Swannington Footpath No. 3. PARISH OF ATTLEBRIDGE Restricted Byway No. 1 (Birch Lane). Starts from Station Hill at Council Cottages and runs south eastwards passing under railway bridge to join Felthorpe Road. Footpath No. 2 (Birch Lane (Restricted Byway 1) to Felthorpe Road). Starts from Restricted Byway No. 1 at the junction of Swannington Footpath No. 15 and runs south westwards to join Felthorpe Road. Restricted Byway No. 3 (Felthorpe Road to Norwich-Fakenham Road). Starts from Felthorpe Road, opposite the end of Restricted Byway 1 and runs south eastwards passing the western end of Triumph Plantation to junction of Restricted Byway No. 4, and continues to join the Norwich-Fakenham Road at the parish boundary. Restricted Byway No. 4 (Restricted Byway No. 3 to Norwich-Fakenham Road). Starts from Restricted Byway No. 3 and runs south westwards through Attlebridge Hills to join the Norwich-Fakenham Road opposite Footpath No. 5 Footpath No. 5 (Norwich-Fakenham Road to Parish Boundary). Starts from the Norwich-Fakenham Road, opposite the end of Restricted Byway No. 4, and runs south westwards past Attlebridge Farm and over the River Wensum to join Ringland Footpath No. 1. PARISH OF AYLSHAM Footpath No. 1 (Erpingham Road to Parish Boundary). Starts from a fieldgate to Erpingham and runs westwards to the parish boundary. Footpath No. 3 (Green Lane to Road Linking Dunkirk and the Banningham Road). Starts from Green Lane by a stile, and runs south westwards to the eastern side of Aylsham Bypass. It then continues on the western side of the bypass and runs south westwards to join the road connecting Dunkirk and Banningham Road on the north western side of the railway bridge. Footpath No. 4 (Banningham Road to Erpingham Road). Starts from Banningham Road and runs north westwards to Erpingham Road. Footpath No. 5 (Staithe Millgate). - Starts at the south western corner of the Staithe, Millgate, and runs eastwards across the Staithe to its north east corner. Footpath No. 6 (Millgate Street to The Meadows). Starts from Millgate Street and runs in a generally north-westerly direction for approximately 65 metres. It then continues north westwards for 138 yards to the northern end of The Meadows. Footpath No. 7 (Cromer Road to Restricted Byway No. 28) Starts from the Cromer Road by a stile south of the railway bridge and runs eastwards alongside the railway, turning south eastwards and southwards to join Restricted Byway No. 28. Restricted Byway No. 8 (Blickling Road to Heydon Road). Starts from Blickling Road by a stile opposite Old Hall, and runs westwards along the Avenue to a fieldgate, then turns southwards to join the Heydon Road by a fieldgate where it joins Footpath No. 9. Footpath No. 9 (Heydon Road to Parish Boundary). Starts from Heydon Road by a fieldgate at the end of Restricted Byway No. 8, and runs north westwards to the railway where there is a stile, crossing the parish boundary to join Blickling Footpath No. 14. Footpath No. 10 (Blickling Road to Heydon Road). Starts from Blickling Road by a fieldgate just south of Footpath No. 8, and runs south westwards to join the Heydon Road by a stile west of the Dell. Footpath No. 11 (Churchyard Footpath). Starts from the eastern end of Schoolhouse Lane and runs north eastwards across the churchyard to its north eastern corner where it joins Footpath No. 13. Footpath No. 12 (Churchyard Footpath). Starts from the eastern end of Schoolhouse Lane, and Footpath No. 11, and runs south eastwards through the churchyard to its south eastern corner, where it joins Footpath No. 13. Footpath No. 13 (Churchyard Footpath). Starts from Footpath No. 11 at the north eastern corner of the churchyard and runs southwards to join Footpath No. 12. Restricted Byway No. 14 (Blofield's Loke or Sands Loke). Starts from Red Lion Street between Nos. 14 and 16, and runs eastwards to Oakfield Road. Footpath No. 15 (Dyes Loke). Starts from the west side of the Market Place, between Nos. 15 and 16, and runs westwards to join Church Terrace, between Nos. 6 and 8. The Plan builds on work undertaken by the Acle Village Team which developed the Acle Village Economic Masterplan through detailed research, analysis and consultation. This work has informed the development of Acle Neighbourhood Plan as well as that gathered during the extensive consultation undertaken as part of the Neighbourhood Planning process. This Consultation Statement is designed to meet the requirements set out in the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 for Consultation Statements. This document sets out the consultation process employed in the production of the Acle Neighbourhood Plan, it also demonstrates how the requirements of Regulations 14 and 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 have been satisfied.

    Appeal statement for 156 Wroxham Road, Sprowston, Norwich, NR7 8DE - Broadland District Council application number 20160492 In their Planning Rejection notice dated 9th February 2017, Broadland District Council states that “Wroxham Road is a long road which runs through the town of Sprowston and that the section between the Norwich Outer Ring Road and the Park and Ride roundabout is fronted by buildings of various periods and designs with various space intervals between the buildings on either side. Given this varied character and appearance, it is considered that number 156 is only read in conjunction with the neighbouring buildings on the same side of Wroxham Road between Merlin Avenue and Goshawk Mews (numbers 154a to 166 Wroxham Road)”. However, as Broadland District Council correctly point out, Wroxham Road is fronted by buildings of various periods and designs with various space intervals between the buildings on either side. Therefore, what relevant basis is there that this group of properties should be treated differently than the general area? In application number 20160492 for front, side and rear extensions to number 126 Wroxham Road approved by Broadland District Council 12th May 2016, the two storey side extension (which has now been constructed) is partly constructed not only up to the boundary between the two buildings but also within the grounds of the adjoining property number 124 Wroxham Road. Similar situations are apparent in the immediate vicinity and photographs are attached to this appeal document showing this to be the case. Numbers 114, 116, 136, 154, 156, 158, 169, 171, 175, 207 Wroxham Road and 47 Merlin Mews are all examples of extensions being constructed neither on or very close to the neighbouring property.

    NORFOLK THROUGH A LENS A guide to the Photographic Collections held by Norfolk Library & Information Service 2 NORFOLK THROUGH A LENS A guide to the Photographic Collections held by Norfolk Library & Information Service History and Background The systematic collecting of photographs of Norfolk really began in 1913 when the Norfolk Photographic Survey was formed, although there are many images in the collection which date from shortly after the invention of photography (during the 1840s) and a great deal which are late Victorian. In less than one year over a thousand photographs were deposited in Norwich Library and by the mid- 1990s the collection had expanded to 30,000 prints and a similar number of negatives. The devastating Norwich library fire of 1994 destroyed around 15,000 Norwich prints, some of which were early images. Fortunately, many of the most important images were copied before the fire and those copies have since been purchased and returned to the library holdings. In 1999 a very successful public appeal was launched to replace parts of the lost archive and expand the collection. Today the collection (which was based upon the survey) contains a huge variety of material from amateur and informal work to commercial pictures. This includes newspaper reportage, portraiture, building and landscape surveys, tourism and advertising. There is work by the pioneers of photography in the region; there are collections by talented and dedicated amateurs as well as professional art photographers and early female practitioners such as Olive Edis, Viola Grimes and Edith Flowerdew. More recent images of Norfolk life are now beginning to filter in, such as a village survey of Ashwellthorpe by Richard Tilbrook from 1977, groups of Norwich punks and Norfolk fairs from the 1980s by Paul Harley and re-development images post 1990s.
