The following territories are recognized as beaver reserves: (a) Fort Georges Reserve: A territory of 34,150 mi2, bounded on the north by the parallel of latitude 55º30′, on the east by meridian 72º, on the south by the right shore of Fort-Georges River equally called Grande-Rivière and on the west by James Bay. (b) Vieux Comptoir Reserve: A territory of an area of 19,525 mi2, bounded on the north by Fort Georges Reserve; bounded on the east, by a line described as follows: starting from the intersection of the right shore of Fort-Georges River or Grande-Rivière with meridian 73º17′; thence, south 50º15′, west, 7.4 mi; thence, south 53º55′, east 10 mi; thence, south 27º55′, west, 4.4 mi; thence, south 88º20′ west, 11.6 mi; thence, south 18º45′ east, 5.7 mi; thence, south 67º30′ west, 15.2 mi; thence, south 87º40′ west, 18.6 mi; thence, south 16º30′ west, 11 mi; thence, south 13º10′ east, 9 mi; thence, south 60º40′ west, 22.7 mi; thence, south 18º east, 13.4 mi; thence, north 79º30′ east, 11 mi; thence, south 4º10′ east, 16.2 mi; thence, south 85º west, 27.4 mi; thence, south 7º20′ west, 9.2 mi; thence, south 54º west, 18.5 mi; thence, south 17º25′ east, 6.5 mi; thence, south 33º45′ west, approximately 11 mi up to the intersection of the right shore of Eastmain River with the 3rd meridian (75º30′); bounded on the south, by the right shore of Eastmain River; bounded on the west by James Bay. (c) Rupert Reserve: A territory of an area of 7,875 mi2, bounded on the north by the right shore of Eastmain River, on the east by the 3rd meridian (75º30′), on the south by the right shore of Rupert River and on the west by James Bay. (d) Nottaway Reserve: A territory of an area of 11,700 mi2, bounded on the north by the south shore of James Bay and by the right shore of Rupert River; bounded on the east and on the south by a line described as follows: starting from the intersection of the right shore of Rupert River with the 3rd meridian (75º30′); thence, south 5º west, 25.4 mi; thence, south 40º west, 3 mi, up to the left shore of à-la-Martre River; thence, on the southwest, following the left shore of à-la-Martre River and the south shore of Weakwaten Lake, up to the east shore of Tesecau Lake; thence, north, approximately 3 mi, up to the north shore of Poncet Lake; thence, on the northwest, following the north shore of Poncet Lake and Bruton Lake, up to a point of longitude of 76º17′ and a latitude of 51º11.5′; thence, south 56º25′ west, approximately 20.2 mi, up to the north shore of the northeast Bay of Evans Lake; thence, on the southwest, following the northwest shore of the said Bay, up to the southern extremity of Longue-Pointe; thence, south 51º west, approximately 12.4 mi up to the western extremity of the southwest Bay of Evans Lake; thence, south 23º30′ west, 13.2 mi; thence, south 4º east, approximately 11.4 mi, up to the right shore of Muskeg River; thence, on the west following the right shore of Muskeg River and the north shore of Soscumica Lake, up to the meeting point of meridian 77º40′ with the parallel of latitude 50º20′; thence, west, 5 mi; thence, south 34º30′ west, 21.5 mi; thence, south 12º30′ east approximately 10 mi, up to meridian 78º; thence, west, approximately 2.6 mi, up to the east shore of Grasset Lake; thence, by skirting Grasset Lake by the south, up to the right shore of the mouth of Subercase River; thence, north 70º west, 11.2 mi; thence, north 3 mi; thence, north 50º west, 14 mi; thence, south 78º west, approximatively 8.7 mi, up to the right shore of Harricana River; thence, on the south, by following the right shore of Harricana River, up to the right shore of the mouth of Turgeon River; thence, to the west, following the right shore of Turgeon River; up to the right shore of the mouth of Détour River; thence, west, following the right shore of Détour River, up to its meeting with the Québec-Ontario Border; bounded on the west, by the Québec-Ontario Border. (f) Grand Lac Victoria Reserve: A territory of 7,825 mi2, bounded on the north by a line described as follows: starting from a point of longitude 78º27′ and latitude 48º; thence, to the east, following the said parallel of latitude 48º, up to its intersection with meridian 76º30′; thence, south, following the latter meridian, up to its intersection with the parallel of latitude 47º51′; thence, east, following the latter parallel of latitude up to its intersection with meridian 75º30′; bounded on the east by a line described as follows: starting from the intersection point of meridian 75º30′ with the parallel of latitude 47º51′; thence, south 33º west, 5.6 mi; thence, south 28º30′ east, 16.2 mi; thence, north 30º east, 3 mi; thence, south 11º50′ east, 3.8 mi; thence, south 64º35′ east, 3.2 mi; thence, south 33º35′ west, 4 mi, up to a point in longitude 75º21′ and in latitude 47º30′; bounded on the south by a line described as follows: starting from a point in longitude 75º21′ and in latitude 47º30′; thence, west, following the said parallel of latitude 47º30′, up to its intersection with the meridian 76º30′; thence, south, following the latter meridian, up to its intersection with the parallel of latitude 47º; thence, west, following the latter parallel, up to its intersection with the meridian 78º27′; bounded on the west by meridian 78º27′.
