JOB TITLE: Field Officer (Shelter & CASH Programming) LOCATION: Chipinge / Chimanimani Districts PURPOSE OF POSITION To lead the implementation of the Shelter and Cash for Work component of the ECHO Page 1/4 funded cyclone response project in Chimanimani district and to coordinate implementation in a manner that will ensure achievement of project targets and milestones including ensuring compliance to Donor and World Vision policy requirements /guidelines. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Working closely with M & E team and Project team leader, support the identification of project beneficiaries in line with programme documents Coordinate assessment of damaged housing shelter and consolidate preparation of BoQs needed for construction rehabilitation works in project target locations Facilitate procurement of materials from approved suppliers working in close collaboration with WV Supply Chain team and in line with organisational and donor policies, systems and procedures. Supervise and provide technical support to project construction activities Conduct regular and ongoing technical monitoring of and reporting on construction activities, ensuring adherence to the Core Humanitarian Standard, SPHERE standards for humanitarian action and WV Safeguarding policy Ensure efficient utilisation and full accountability for project resources including building materials Conduct staff and community trainings and other capacity building initiatives Coordinate inspection of Shelter construction/ rehabilitation works by local RDCs and Public Works inspectors Page 2/4 Participate in relevant coordination meetings at district and national level Co-ordinate with other relief and development Agencies, Local Authorities and Government stakeholders in the District in ensuring that food security and development intervention strategies are targeted to the appropriate target population. Assist district team to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate approved activities as per programs design. Ensure that all targeted cash recipients receive their monthly entitlements on time and with rightful calculations as prescribed by World Vision and Donor procedures. Visit target communities on regular basis to get their perceptions and experience so as to assist in planning and development relevant community-oriented and sustainable programs Prepare district work-plans and progress reports (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly) as defined by the project guidelines. Facilitate the identification designing and implementing of appropriate training needs for district staff and local communities. Conduct and contribute to regular coordination meetings Participate in any other job related activities assigned by superiors. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES A minimum of a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Journeyman Bricklayer qualification Class 1 with over 5 years’ experience in construction sector with traceable references Page 3/4 Proven organizational planning and managerial skills Demonstrate ability in the design and effective use of training materials Computer literate Clean class 4 drivers' licence is a must Ability to speak English and local languages Page 4/4 Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org).
