Traffic Regulation

Whereas for peaceful observance of Ram Nabami / Hunuman Jayanti Festival to be celebrated on 14.04.19, 17.04.19 and 19.04.19, it is necessary in the interest of public safety, security and also for preventing danger, obstruction or inconvenience to the public in general during festive days, to impose traffic restrictions for regulating the movement of vehicles at different parts of Chandannagar Police Commissionerate area during the period of such festival, I, Shri Akhilesh Kumar Chaturvedi, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Chandannagar in exercise of the powers conferred upon me U/S 112(2)/115/116/117 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 vide notification No. 4458-WT/3M-80/2002 dated 17.10.2017 of Transport Department, Govt. of , do hereby issue the following restrictive orders as per following time schedule on the following roads –

I. In the interest of public safety and convenience the movement of all types of Goods vehicle and other vehicles shall be restricted to ply towards Chandannagar Police Commissionerate area at the following points as per following schedule on the following roads:– On 14.04.2019 from 14:00 hrs. to 22:00 hrs.

This will result in the following stretches of roads becoming closed/diverted for vehicular traffic.

1. Gate on GT Road, PS Chinsurah towards Chandannagar Police Commissionerate area through GT Road. 2. Bandel More on GT Road towards Bally More under Chinsurah PS through Bandel Stn. Road. 3. Hooghly Morh on GT Road towards Pipulpati Morh under Chinsurah PS through Vivekananda Road. 4. Khadinamore on GT Road towards Chinsurah Town & Hooghly More through GT Road & M.G. Road. 5. Don Bosco School More towards Bally Morh towards Pipulpati More under Chinsurah PS through -Chinsurah Road. 6. Dirghangi More on Delhi Road towards More under PS through Baidyabati- Road. 7. Pearapur More towards Nawga More under Serampore PS through 31 No. Route. 8. Bangihati More under Serampore PS towards Maitripath through Bangihati Road. 9. Fort William Factory More under PS towards More under Serampore PS through GT Road. 10. Bally Khal More under PS towards Bagkhal More under Rishra PS through GT Road. 11. Delhi Road & Naity Road X-ing towards Bata More under Uttarpara PS through Naity Road. 12. Kalipur Rly Fly over towards Delhi Road Chowmatha though T.N. Mukherjee Road 13. Chowmatha on Delhi Road under Dankuni PS towards Uttarpara Stn. Road Crossing through T.N. Mukherjee Road.

II. In the interest of public safety and convenience the movement of all types of Goods vehicle and other vehicles shall be restricted to ply towards Chandannagar Police Commissionerate area at the following points as per following schedule on the following roads:– On 17.04.2019 from 12:00 hrs. to 22:00 hrs.

This will result in the following stretches of roads becoming closed/diverted for vehicular traffic.

1. Bandel Gate on GT Road under Chinsurah PS towards Khadina More through GT Road. 2. Khadina Morh under Chinsurah PS towards Liberty Gate under Bhadreswar PS through GT Road. 3. Swetpur More under Bhadreswar PS towards Bhagar Dhar Morh under Chandannagar PS through Chandannagar By pass Road. 4. Baidyabati Chowmatha under Serampore PS towards Angus More on GT Road under Bhadreswar PS through GT Road.

5. Bhagar Dhar More under Chandannagar PS towards Chandannagar Hospital Morh under Chandannagar PS through Kulupukur Main Road. 6. Jyotir More under Chandannagar PS towards Laxmi Ganj Bazar More under Chandannagar PS through Kobi Bharat Chandra Road & Stand Road. 7. Taldanga More-II under Chandannagar PS towards Laxmiganj Bazar and Palpara through GT Road and Palpara Road. 8. In front of Avinandan Hotel under PS Chandannagar towards Urdibazar and Laxmiganj Bazar through GT Road and others Road. 9. Bighati More under Bhadreswar PS towards Bhadreswar Station Road & GT Road Crossing through Bhadreswar Station Road. 10. Angus Post Office More under Bhadreswar PS towards Liberty Gate on GT Road under Bhadreswar PS through GT Road.

III. In the interest of public safety and convenience the movement of all types of Goods vehicle and other vehicles shall be restricted to ply towards Chandannagar Police Commissionerate area at the following points as per following schedule on the following roads:-

On 19.04.2019 from 14:00 hrs. hrs. to 22:00 hrs.

This will result in the following stretches of roads becoming closed/diverted for vehicular traffic.

1. Baidyabati More under Serampore PS towards Manjushree Morh under Bhadreswar PS through GT Road. 2. Manjushree More under Bhadreswar PS towards Angus Post Office under Bhadreswar PS through GT Road 3. Bighati More under Bhadreswar PS towards Bhadreswar Station Road & GT Road Crossing through Bhadreswar Station Road. 4. Liberty Gate under Bhadreswar PS towards Angus More under Bhadreswar PS through GT Road. 5. Chandannagar Hospital Morh under Chandannagar PS towards Liberty Gate under Bhadreswar PS through GT Road. 6. Piarapur More under Serampore PS towards Bora through Bora Road. 7. Kalu Bhagar More towards Bagua Tala More under Bhadreswar PS through other Road.

IV. THE ABOVE REGULATION SHALL BE ENFORCED IN ADDITION TO THE NORMAL RESTRICTIONS WHICH ARE NOT REPUGNANT TO THE ABOVE.

Exemptions

1. The above restriction order will not be applicable for emergency vehicles like ambulance, fire brigades and other exempted vehicles. Any other restrictions or diversions on the road will be implemented during the festival days depending on the situation.
