Upcoming Events Dear Sacred Heart family and friends, It’s been a whirlwind of a week. One of those where the rhythm of life is Mar. 9 - NO SCHOOL - fast beat and going in all directions-at least it has been for me. As it is in any Staff Development school, there are trials and triumphs as we assist our young people in grow- Mar. 12-16 - Spring Break ing up. A huge triumph this week was recognition of the freshman schol- Mar. 19 - Classes Resume arship winners and placement test award recipients at St. James Academy. Grades 1-8 We are extremely proud of our 8th grade students who were recognized. It is Mar. 19 - Kindergarten Screening notable there were 260 applicants for the scholarships, representing Mar. 20 - Kindergarten Resumes 22 different schools. Sacred Heart students received 12% of the schol- Mar. 22 - “I Can” Assembly arship awards and 19% of the placement test achievement awards. March Movement

It has been a great 3rd quar- ter in PE, students have been working very hard. Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade started the quarter off 7th graders finished S.E. Hinton’s working on hand/eye coor- book The Outsiders. They really dination skill circuits and got into character dressing as Socs are now transferring those and Greasers! How did they pick skills into Polo. 3rd, 4th and their outfits? “I just interpreted what 5th grade started the quarter I remembered from characters in the with some excellent pacer book and what I saw from last year. They are finishing the quar- ter off with some fun gym hockey games, these games are very dynamic and help improve hand/eye coordi- nation.
