Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ( TV series) - Wikipedia Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an American animated television seriesbased on the fictional comic book characters of the same name. The series was announced on May 7, and is co-produced by 4Kids Entertainment and franchise creators Mirage Studios[1] which co-owned rights to the show, [2] with animation provided by the studio Dong Woo. Unlike the TV seriesthe series more closely matches the tone of the original comicswith a greater emphasis on action and themes of familial bonds. As a result, the series is more adult-oriented, while still being considered appropriate for younger audiences. The series adapts a large scope of story arcs from the comics, with the Turtles' adventures combining elements of both fantasy and science fiction. By the end of the third season, the Shredder is revealed to be an Utrom criminal named Ch'rell. Towards the end of the fourth season, the series undergoes a format change as the Turtles would be recruited by the Ninja Tribunal to use new mystic abilities to combat another version of the Shredder where this one is labled as the original Shredder before Ch'rell assumed his Follow the Ninja! (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Season five would be the last to use the original character designs and animation style with its plot concluding the series' main storyline. The sixth season, subtitled "Fast Forward", would retool the series with a new art style and comedic tone. The season's plot focused on the Turtles being transported about years into the future to the year ; where they meet and befriend Cody Jones, the great grandson of April and Casey. They must also contend with futurist enemies like Sh'Okanabo and his minion Viral as well as dealing with the activities of Cody's uncle Darius Dun. Fast Forward's main story would conclude in the seventh and final season, subtitled "Back to the Sewer", while sporting another redesign for the entire cast inspired by the designs from the TMNT film. After returning to the present day, the Turtles must battle a cybernetic version of the Shredder which was the result of Viral merging with the data of the Utrom Shredder. There is also a running subplot centered on the wedding of April and Casey. The TV movie Turtles Forever serves as the finale to the series and centers around the Turtles encountering their animated counterparts, who have accidentally been transported to the Turtles' reality. To make matters worse, the 80's Shredder and Krang as well as their minions Bebop and Rocksteady free Ch'rell from his imprisonment as Hun and Follow the Ninja! (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) realign themselves with Ch'rell. The "Ninja Tribunal" was originally intended to be the fifth Follow the Ninja! (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) final season of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, but the schedule was changed to try to increase interest in the series and "Fast Forward" became the fifth season. The "Ninja Tribunal" episodes were scheduled to be released on DVD sometime in earlybut 4Kids Entertainment later removed them from their release schedule and the season was promoted in commercials as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Lost Episodes. Series development was headed by producer Lloyd Goldfine, who had known the Ninja Turtles since the original Mirage Studios comics and declared Follow the Ninja! (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) "loved the charm of the cartoon", but much preferred the idea of turtles raised to be ninja assassins, and was interested in using said plot while also being family friendly. Once he heard 4Kids had an interest in the franchise, Goldfine suggested going straight to Mirage for guidance, and then he and other company representatives went to the company's headquarters in Northampton, Massachusetts. Turtles co-creator Peter Laird and Mirage CEO Gary Richardson approved their pitch, and Mirage remained very close during development, with Laird reading every outline and draft of the script, and approving Follow the Ninja! (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) of the character designs. The series originally aired in the US on Fox Follow the Ninja! (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) its first six seasons from to It then aired on The CW for its seventh and final season from to The series was both highly acclaimed and commercially successful throughout its first five seasons. Many consider this to be the greatest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show ever made. In one of the most boneheaded "updates" yet made by a "director" or "producer", Michael Bay has decided that in order to capitalize on the believability and lovability of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's brain-children reptiles they should be aliens instead. That's right, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo are now aliens. However, in so doing, he's casting aside the role of mutation as a minor plotpoint - but is it minor? Nope, it's really not. The Teenage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutagen Ooze and Illustrated Book Ninja Turtles weren't originally a toy franchise or even a cartoon, they were a comic book by Eastman and Laird, and a rather violent and bloody one at that. Instead of Leonardo just sticking his katanas into the ceiling and bicycle kicking a foot soldier, he'd cut the poor guy down a a few easy slices. Mikey Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutagen Ooze and Illustrated Book bash skulls in with his nunchaku. Raph would perforate the guys. Donny would give them a nice bludgeoning.

EDITORIAL Bienvenidos todos a Bonus Stage Magazine 12, un número que os resultará algo diferente de manera visual, pues nuestra maquetadora habitual, Kurai, no puede maquetar por falta de tiempo como ya anunció en el número pasado, así que todo el apartado visual vuelve a recaer en mis manos, y yo no tengo tantos conocimientos ni experiencia como ella para maquetar la revista. Así pues, espero que no os importen las ligeras diferencias visuales que tendrán los nuevos números comparados con los anteriores. Dicho esto, he de comentar que este número es uno de los que tenía más ganas de hacer, principalmente por el especial de las Tortugas Ninja, personajes que conocí por la serie de animación de los 80 (como la mayoría de gente, supongo) y de los que nunca me llegué a distanciar demasiado pese al paso de los años, pues siempre estaba descubriendo cosas nuevas sobre ellos (sus comics originales, las nuevas series, videojuegos que no había probado...etc.) así que tenía bastantes cosas que decir sobre estas cuatro (o tal vez cinco) tortugas mutantes.
