Donut Felt Pin
Supplies: ● Felt ● Needles ● Embroidery floss ● Safety pin ● Bit of stuffing ● Scissors (not included)
Instructions: 1. Find an image you want to make into a pin. You could do a flower, insect, whatever you can think of. I used Google Images and came up with tons of examples for my imagination. I’ve included photos of more pins at the end of the instructions for inspiration. I decided to make a donut because I was hungry. 2. Using circular objects, I drew 3 large circles.
3. Using a smaller object, I drew 3 small circles inside of the large circles. 4. I cut out the 2 tan large circles (donut) and 1 pink circle (frosting). I then cut out the middle holes. 5. With the pink circle, cut some swoops so it looks like frosting. 6. Using 2 strands of contrasting thread, make “sprinkles” on your donut frosting. Use other colors if you want more sprinkles! 7. Using one of the tan pieces as the back of the pin, sew a small sleeve to hold the safety pin. 8. Sew the frosting to the top of the donut on the outer edge using an overhand method. 9. Layer all 3 circles. Using an overhand stitch, sew the inside of the donut first. 10. Sew the 3 outer layers together using an overhand stitch. You’ll want to add stuffing as you sew.
11. Put your safety pin in the back and wear with pride! https://www.instructables.com/Felt-Pin-Captain-America-Shield/ https://www.justshortofcrazy.com/handmade-felt-flower-pin-diy/ https://www.woojr.com/donuts-felt-food-tutorial-printable-sewing-pattern/
