When looking for shoes, always take your Sole Supports with you. Shoes/Sandals with removable inserts are best to accommodate a full orthotic. Your smaller dress orthotic will fit in many shoes without removable inserts, but try them on first. They will need a deep enough heel cup so you don’t walk out the back, sturdy construction so your orthotic has a support near the arch. GSJ© 2019 www.globalscientificjournal.com GSJ: Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2019 ISSN 2320-9186 332 Abstract The current study was conducted with the objective of designing and developing appropriate tyre sandal shoe for rural people around Bahir Dar city, Ethiopia. The study was carried out through questionnaire, interview and observational study. The researcher identified the existing situations and problem happened on tyre sandal users in the area. The current tyre sandal worn by rural people around Bahir Dar city not comfortable for their feet, due to rough surface and hardness of tyre straps and it caused a dry foot and foot crack related problem around their forepart and heel area of foot. More specifically, these tyre sandals are heavy in weight and the straps frequently tend to break at the connecting points, due to poor nail or tack attachment of tyre sole and tyre straps. Based on data analysis, the researcher designed and developed four appropriate shoe collections. Target group showed their willingness to use all shoe collection. • Flip Flop Handout
Flip Flops What to look for in a flip flop Flip-flops are popular as summer comfort shoes, but they aren't the right type of footwear for every activity. They aren't made for running, walking long distances, or lifting and carrying. In addition, you should steer clear of poorly-made flip-flops and choose those that give your feet appropriate support and cushioning. Learn what to look for in well- constructed flip-flops that won't fail your feet. Choose flip flops that only bend at the ball of the foot Cheap flip-flops usually lack any kind of structure or support for the foot. If you can bend them in half or twist them into a pretzel, they aren't going to help prevent foot fatigue. A good flip-flop bends only where you need it to bend when walking-in the ball of the foot. This will improve balance and alignment for healthy feet. Get the right size Your heels and toes should not be hanging off the edge of the sole, inviting rocks and toys to give you a nasty cut or stubbed toe. Likewise, don't just slip into an oversized pair with edges that can catch on uneven surfaces and cause you to trip. Take special care when driving while wearing flip-flops. The sole can get trapped under the accelerator and cause an accident. www.chirohealth.co.uk Flip Flops Replace Worn Out Flip-Flops Flip-flops aren't forever. Before you slip into them, look for cracks in the sole and uppers or signs that the post is coming loose.

UNIFORM POLICY FOR THE DIVISION OF STATE PARKS, HISTORIC SITES, AND TRAILS: WY. DEPARTMENT OF STATE PARKS AND CULTURAL RESOURCES (SPCR) Updated 3/8/10 The uniform is a tool to help employees perform their duties more effectively, permit visitors to easily recognize on-duty employees who are there to help them, and to protect employees from adverse weather conditions. Vital to the uniform program is the “total image concept” that portrays unity within the system, applies to all employees and to the appearance of the entire park or historic site, and includes individual personal grooming, demeanor, employee attitude, and a sense of pride. The uniform, or any part of it, should NOT be worn off duty, nor with personal attire. Disciplinary action may result from the violation of the uniform policy as per the State of Wyoming Personnel Rules. In addition, wearing the uniform off duty or with personal attire makes the uniform taxable as a fringe benefit. Uniform Policy vs Dress Code: During the Division Senior Management Team (SMT) meeting on February 28, 2007, the Dept. Director clarified that the dress code for the field staff will be this Uniform Policy. Personal Grooming and Appearance: As employees of Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails, we are official representatives of the State of Wyoming. As such, we are expected to maintain certain standards of personal cleanliness, grooming and appearance. Acceptance of a position within the Division of State Parks and Historic Sites and Trails means acceptance of these standards. Actual uniform items provided to specific employees will be determined by the employee’s immediate supervisor, with final approval by the site superintendent or program manager.
