Kate Whoriskey Eugene O’Neill Theater Center (2007) PRODUCING AND ARTISTIC LEADERSHIP (Selected) National New Play Network (NNPN) and Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte (ATC) Charlotte, NC Producer-In-Residence (August 2014 – June 2016) • Selected through a competitive process to serve as NNPN’s Producer-In-Residence for two seasons at ATC. • Served as the Associate Producer for ATC’s annual nuVoices New Play Festival, coordinating the submission process in which four playwrights were selected to participate from more than 400 new plays that were received from across the country for consideration. Provided rehearsal coverage during the Festival, serving as the theater’s liaison with artists. • Coordinated the development of ATC’s community-centered project, Public Good, which expanded the nuVoices Festival with an $80,000 grant from the Knight Foundation. Organized workshops with the project’s core collaborators and the work’s first public presentation during ATC’s 2016 nuVoices Festival. • Produced a workshop of the musical, Born for This, in collaboration with director and playwright Charles Randolph-Wright and Grammy Award winner Bebe Winans that featured Grammy Award winner Stephanie Mills. The musical has received critically acclaimed productions at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., and the Broad Stage in Santa Monica. Eugene O’Neill Theater Center Waterford, CT Assistant to the Artistic Director of the National Playwrights Conference (July 2005 & July 2006) • Invited by Artistic Director, Wendy C. Goldberg, to serve as her liaison with guest artists, interns and staff during the four-week conference for the first two seasons of her tenure. • Maintained the Artistic Director’s calendar, scheduling events, meetings and interviews. • Corresponded with guest artists in preparation for their arrival at the conference. • Coordinated travel arrangements for V.I.P. guests with Company Management.
