We can offer non- alcoholic alternatives Menus Menus are prepared especially for you. We have attached a selection of menus for you to peruse and to give you a starting point. Upon confirmation of your wedding breakfast with us we will discuss your preferences and chef will then prepare a menu for YOU. Childs meals Children under the age of 10 are charged 50% of the adult’s meal price. Special child’s meals can be arranged Evening Buffets We have enclosed a selection of our buffet menus. We recommend that you cater for 75% of your evening guests Table Plans When numbers have been confirmed we will be happy to form a table plan with you. Name place cards If required we will supply these. Flowers We are happy to organise floral arrangements on your behalf or we can recommend florists who will be able to assist you. Cake stand We will supply a round Victorian silver cake stand and a silver knife for your wedding cake. Entertainment Discos or bands can be provided, should you require. Toastmaster We can provide a member of our staff to act as Toastmaster or supply you with details of a professional toastmaster. Licences We are licensed until 11.45pm for music and bar, and we ask that all guests leave the premises by 12.15am Marquee For larger weddings, we recommend a marquee. The marquees can be colour co-ordinated to your colour scheme. Please discuss this option with your co-ordinator. The greeting line should be:- Bride’s parents, Grooms parents, Bride and Groom, attendants. On less formal occasions the Bride and Groom alone may receive their guests. Top Table The bridal party consists of:- Best Man, Groom’s Mother, Brides Father, Bride, Groom, Brides Mother, Grooms Father, Chief Bridesmaid. Toast and Speeches The speeches and nuptial toast usually takes place at the end of the meal and are accompanied by the cutting of the wedding cake. The hotel recommends the following procedure: 1. The Bride and Groom cut the cake ( at this point the main tier of the cake is taken away for cutting and is served with coffee after the speeches) 2. Toast to “The Bride and Groom” The Bride’s father or a close relative or friend of the family usually proposes this 3. Toast to “The Bridesmaids” The Bridegroom following his response to the first toast always proposes this 4. The Best Man responds on behalf of the Bridesmaids. How strange that Asimov should believe his average reader would eat potatoes for breakfast! I had to sort that matter out sooner or later.
