Zastąpił go Mulenga. W 14. minucie strzał głową oddał Mayuka. Piłka wylądowała na siatce. W 30. minucie zespołowa akcja WKS. W polu karnym Didier Drogba odegrał do Yaya Toure, a ten minimalnie przestrzelił. Piłka minęła prawy słupek bramki Mweene'a. Aż do 63. minuty. Wtedy ukarany został Tiote. Trzy minuty później "żółtko" zobaczył inny reprezentant WKS Babmba. W 69. minucie Mulenga sfaulował w polu karnym Gervinho i również został ukarany kartką. Do piłki ustawionej na 11 metrze podszedł Didier Drogba.

  • Ligue-1-2016 2017.Pdf
A Note from the Editor: For many, Ligue 1 cannot restart quickly enough following an almost perfect, but fundamentally cruel EURO 2016 for France on home soil. The pain suffered on that night in Paris by Didier Deschamps’s men and an entire nation remains all the more heartrending because of the newfound professionalism that Les Bleus conducted themselves with throughout the tournament. Karim Benzema antics aside, contrary to years of squad infighting, the team spirit inside the French camp was the strongest it had been since 2000. On the pitch, France proved that they are on the cusp of a new golden generation, with Samuel Umtiti, Kingsley Coman and Antoine Griezmann all shining. Although some of Les Bleus’ much touted young guns fell short of expectations, namely Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial, France’s U19 EURO win further confirms that the future is astonishingly bright for French football on the international scene. One would not be foolish to expect there to be some turnover of talent for the 2018 World Cup cycle, with Patrice Evra and others’ involvement coming to an end. Much like Les Bleus therefore, Ligue 1 too can expect a very different feel for the 2016/17 season. PSG have entered a new era after President Al Khelaifi’s obsession for progression in the Champions’ League failed to be adequately satisfied by Laurent Blanc, leading to the latter’s dismissal. Les Parisiens have appointed Unai Emery in Blanc’s place, who brings a new-age management approach that relies on a squad instead of a team of individuals, a charge often leveled at Blanc’s PSG.

  • What We Talk About When We Talk About Football by Luke Healey
What We Talk About When We Talk About Football By Luke Healey On an English field a man from Pyongyang argues with a man from Mozambique. On the 12th of February, 2012 in Libreville, Gabon, an unfancied Zambia side won their first African Cup of Nations against pre-tournament favourites Ivory Coast, after a lifeless nil-nil draw resolved itself in a spirited penalty shoot-out. That the final penalty was scored by one Stoppila Sunzu was fitting: not only had Sunzu put in an influential performance at centre-back in a final which had seen Zambia on the defensive for the best part of 120 minutes, but the defender’s CV also told a story of defiance. After a fleeting spell in the French league system and an aborted attempt to sign for sometime-English Premier League side Reading, Sunzu had returned decisively to African league football and Congolese side Tout Puissant Mazembe in 2009. His career trajectory stood in sharp contrast to those of on-field Ivoirians like Didier Drogba and Yaya Touré, élite Europe-based players that together made Zambia, and Sunzu, natural underdogs on the night. Though this factor, not to mention the endearing group-singing performed by the Zambian squad throughout the shoot-out, contributed to the sense of elation that must have been felt by a large section of the neutral viewing public when Sunzu’s strike finally made the difference, this was not what made Zambia’s triumph such a richly affecting narrative. The inaugural continental championship success of the “Chipolopolo”1 was in fact so perfect, so perfectly timed that it would have been hard to believe had the evidence not been so manifest.
