The (13‐3) clinched the No. 1 seed and homefield aadvantage throughout the playoffs with their 38‐3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs (2‐14) on Sunday. The win gave Denver a perfect record (6‐0) in divisional play and ended the Broncos’ regular season with an 11‐game winning streak—all of them coming by seven points or more to tie for the NFL’s second‐longest such streak of all‐time.

MANNING SETS BRONCOS PASSING STANDARDS

Broncos QB , who completed 23‐of‐29 passes (79.3%) for 304 yards with three touchdowns (144.8 rtg.) against Kansas City, became the franchise leader is nearly every significant single‐season passing category. Manning finished the season ranked first in team history in completions (400), passing yards (4,659), completions percentage (68.6%), touchdowns (37) and passer rating (105.9). Additionally, Manning posted the most 300‐yard games (9) in team history, tying his personal best, and he finished the season with a 90+ passer rating in 13 consecutive games to tie for the second‐longest such streak in NFL history.

Broncos WR Eric Decker totaled 76 yards and two touchdowns on seven catches (10.9 avg.) against the Chiefs to give him 21 receiving scores over the last two seasons—the most by a Broncos player in a two‐year span. His first‐half performance also gave him his first 1,000‐yard receiviing season (1,064) and the 32nd such season in team history. Combined with WR ’ 1,434 receiving yards, the two players are just the fifth tandem in team history to each record 1,000 receiving yards in a season (first since WR Rod Smith and WR Asshley Lelie in 2004).

Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas totaled seven catches for 122 yards (17.4 avg.) with one touchdown against the Chiefs to represent his seventh 100‐yard receiving game of the season. The third‐year player, who was selected as a first alternate for the Pro Bowl, finished with the third‐most receiving yards (1,434) in team history to go along with 94 receptions and 10 touchdowns.

Broncos P Britton Colquitt finished the season with the best net punting average in team history for the second year in a row. The fourth‐year player totaled 67 punts for a 46.3‐yard average (42.1 net) with 27 placed inside the 20 and just four touchbacks.
