Shawnigan Lake School’s Athletic Program

At Shawnigan our athletic coaches and instructors guide our students in their pursuit of personal excellence through our outstanding co-educational programming opportunities. We recognize that this journey, and definition of success, will vary from student to student. However, what will not vary is the quality of this experience. Finally, whether it is on a competitive team or in fitness training, our students will live the words of our school motto ‘Palmam Qui Meruit Ferat’ (‘Let the rewards go those who have worked to deserve them’).

At Shawnigan we are proud of our official partnerships with Rugby Canada, Canada, Thunder Indigenous Rugby and the Canadian Sport School Hockey League. These partnerships provide unparalleled opportunities for Shawnigan students.

Shawnigan’s Canada Field and Read Crewhouse are training bases for Rugby Canada and Rowing Canada.
