S. AUTHORITIES. Directs that upon the abolition of the Imperial Japanese General Headquarters, existing liaison shall be continued between the Commanding General, Japanese First General Army and the Commanding General, United States EIGHTH Army and between the Commanding General, Japanese Second General Army and the Commanding General, United States SIXTH Army; and corresponding liaison should be continued between appropriate Japanese Naval Commanders and Commanders of the THIRD and FIFTH United States Fleets. 21 1945/09/12 MG R2 USE OF SUPPLEMENTAL YEN (TYPE "B"), UNITED STATES DOLLARS, AND OTHER FOREIGN CURRENCY. Notes failure of Japanese Government to decree that supplemental yen (Type B) is legal tender in Japan; prohibits circulation of currency of the U. Denies request, but it is contemplated that permission for overseas broadcasts will be forthcoming. Rescinded by SCAPIN 2028. 29 1945/09/15 MG R2 PRODUCTION IN NON-WAR PLANTS. Directs the Japanese Government to initiate and encourage production of essential commodities and to institute necessary economic controls.
