Top Re: List of Dusty's Unreleased /Previously Unreleased Songs (#p43966) by paula » Thu Dec 30, 2010 2:37 pm Hi Danny, Do you realize that there are quite a few songs on that list that were released?...as extras on later editions of 'Dusty In Memphis' and on 'Beautiful Soul" (a complilation of 'Cameo' & Longing') and you can still find these...especially DIM, though BS can be a difficult find but still out there. paula x Top Re: List of Dusty's Unreleased /Previously Unreleased Songs (#p43973) by Brian » Thu Dec 30, 2010 3:58 pm There's a good album's worth still waiting! I doubt very much that Dusty ever recorded 'All You Need Is Love', especially as late as '89, as she avoided Beatles songs like the plague! As for 'Ben' - yeuch I do hope that she didn't. Rats to that one for sure The title 'Can't Give Up The Love I Feel For You' sounds like it's meant to be 'I Can't Give Back The Love I Feel For You' which is of course released. 'My Love Life Is A Disater' is the same song that Mary Wilson recorded. It's horrible so I hope I never hear Dusty sing it. Experience has made me very wary of such lists. Here's what it had to say about the supposed unreleased tracks. • 1968-69: Midnight's Sounds - (Norma Tanega, Dan White)* Issued by Dusty Springfield Bulletin in 2002 • 1966: The Morning After The Night Before - (Toni Wine, Carole Bayer Sager)* Tapes missing • 1969: To Love Somebody (Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb) - (Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb)* Tapes lost or destroyed • 1970: Sweet Charlie Babe - (Philip L. Hurtt, Walter B. Sigler)* Dusty's version was recorded over by Jackie Moore • 1970: All That's Left Is To Say Goodbye - (Antonio Carlos Jobim, Vinicius DeMoraes, Ray Gilbert)* Wrong title. It's actually called 'Goodbye' and was written by Spike Milligan! • 1970: Black Sheep - (unknown)* No full vocal but it does exist • 1972: It's All Been Said Before - (Dennis Lambert, Brian Potter)* It appears that Dusty did not record any vocals or if she did the tapes were destroyed • 1972: When The Boys Come Out To Play - (Dennis Lambert, Brian Potter)* It appears that Dusty did not record any vocals or if she did the tapes were destroyed • 1972: Ben - (Walter Scharf, Don Black)* It appears that Dusty did not record any vocals or if she did the tapes were destroyed 3 of 11 17/10/2019, 18:43 Let's Talk Dusty! • View topic - List of Dusty's Unreleased /Previously U... https://www.dustyspringfield.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1914 • 1972: I Can See Clearly Now - (Nash)* It appears that Dusty did not record any vocals or if she did the tapes were destroyed • 1973: Six Million Dollar Man - (Glen Larson)* Great song. Not known how much she recorded of it • 1980: I Don't Want To Hear It Anymore (Re-recorded) - (Randy Newman) [For the movie, Love and Money]* It's featured twice in the movie complete with various action sound effects • 1980-81: Will You Love Me Tomorrow? (Re-recorded) - (Carole King, Gerry Goffin)* The recording has been found • 1981-82: My Loss - (unknown) [Outtake: White Heat]* There are no Dusty vocals, only a man's • 1981-82: Toughen Up - (Terry Britten, Graham Lyle) [Outtake: White Heat]* Dusty never recorded a vocal. Olivia Newton-John did record this song • 1981-82: Turn Out The Lights - (David Faragher, Thomas Faragher, Caleb Quaye) [Outtake: White Heat]* No Dusty vocals were ever recorded • 1981-82: What Is She Hiding? - (unknown) [Outtake: White Heat]* Dusty never recorded a vocal • 1984: Affection - (unknown)* Does exist because many of us have it • 1985: My Love Life Is A Disaster - (Biddu, Les Reed) [Outtake: Sometimes Like Butterflies]* Was never completed before Stringfellow pulled the plug Thank god for that • 1989: All You Need Is Love - (John Lennon, Paul McCartney)* Approx 1min was recorded for use by Panasonic in Japan.
