The details are as follows: Day & Date : Thursday, August 5, 2021 Time : 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Platform : Online We have invited Shri Uddhav Thackeray, Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra to grace the Valedictory Roundtable Session as Chief Guest. Shri Subhash Desai, Honourable Minister for Industry and Mining, Government of Maharashtra, has kindly accepted our invitation as Guest of Honour. Maharashtra is going through its worst crisis ever as it is the worst hit state by the Coronavirus outbreak and we admire the efforts of Government of Maharashtra in maintaining balance between the life and livelihood. We believe that in times such as this, the private sector also should play its part to help government build capacity and resilience for future shocks. With this in mind, the Chamber has decided “Mission Engage Maharashtra” to be its special focus this year and work closely with the government to help its efforts to revive the economy. This roundtable conference is being organized under the IMC Mission Engage Maharashtra initiative which was launched at the hands of Honourable Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray and Honourable Minister of Industries and Mining Shri Subhash Desai on December 1, 2020. We had also signed a MoU with the Industries Ministry of GOM on January 19, 2021 to promote industrial development and investment in the state of Maharashtra. The Engage Maharashtra: Reboot, Reform, Resurge Roundtable Conference” is being organized to brainstorm actions and initiatives that could bring about transformative development in certain key areas of the state. The online roundtable conference will cover following sessions: Inaugural Session - Industrial Development of Maharashtra Food Processing Electronic Policy Tourism, Travel, Hospitality Multimodal Logistic Park Setting up of Bulk Drug and Medical Devices Manufacturing IT & Skill Development Finance and Infrastructure Valedictory Session - How to Reboot, Reform and Resurge Economic Development of Maharashtra Each of the above sessions will have moderated roundtable discussions involving the Ministers, Secretaries and few leading businesspersons and experts relevant to the sectors of the sessions.
