Sabato alle ore 8.30 a Trento partenza della terza “La Moserissima” Beppe Saronni, eterno rivale di Francesco Moser, al via della ciclostorica In serata dalle ore 20 tutti in centro storico a Trento per la new entry del Tridentum Crit Fino a domenica Expo de “La Leggendaria Charly Gaul - UCI Gran Fondo World Series” “La Moserissima” andrà in scena sabato 8 luglio a Trento con partenza alle ore 8.30 nell’ambito degli appuntamenti de “La Leggendaria Charly Gaul – UCI Gran Fondo World Series 2017”, organizzati dall’APT Trento, Monte Bondone, Valle dei Laghi ed ASD Charly Gaul Internazionale. Una ciclostorica sempre ricca di fascino ed entusiasmo da parte di tutti i cicloamatori vintage e di tanti campioni che hanno fatto la storia delle due ruote, i quali si cimenteranno lungo i percorsi di 94 km e 943 metri di dislivello e di 57 km e 590 metri di dislivello, con partenza ed arrivo in Piazza Duomo a Trento, e le Cantine Moser, Cavit e il bicigrill di Faedo adibiti a meritate pause pronte a dissetare e rifocillare. E pensare che, incredibile ma vero, alla terza edizione dell’evento firmato da Francesco Moser e dall’organizzazione trentina ci sarà proprio quel Beppe Saronni che, fino a qualche decennio fa, sarebbe stato impensabile vedere fianco a fianco con Moser in un qualsiasi evento, vista l’accesa rivalità negli occhi dei due. Il dualismo fra Moser e Saronni fu un ‘toccasana’ per il ciclismo degli anni ’70-’80, una rivalità che non si vedeva dai tempi di Coppi e Bartali.

Although victory had eluded him on his previous ten attempts, Kuiper still regarded the Queen of the Classics as ‘his’ race. Paris-Roubaix, or the Hell of the North as it is also known, featured all the competitive ingredients he loved: an ordeal that only a rider with unimaginable perseverance and equally unimaginable willpower could withstand. The distance alone – between 255 and 265 kilometres as a rule – is enough to separate the men from the boys before the starting gun has even sounded. Rattling over those bald lumps of stone is hell on the joints. Your wrists, backside, and of course your legs are tested to breaking point. The weather often plays a decisive role, especially when the heavens open and mud from the sodden fields seeps onto the road. Road spatters leave many a rider peering out from behind a clay mask, as they slip, slide, tumble, get back up again, and doggedly give chase.
