The variety and number of organisations engaged in this work is remarkable, and the number con- tinues to grow. Twenty years marks a point in the history of the Brighton Declaration, where we can and must review the implementation of this document. The ‘From Brighton to Helsinki’ IWG Progress Report provides examples of initiatives that have been undertaken by Brighton Declaration signatories and Catalyst-subscribers to empower women. In spite of these efforts, the latest data shows that in some areas progress has been limited. Abstract and Keywords Set within the context under which ethnic-Turks suffered seriously amidst rising communism in post World War II Eastern Europe, this thesis examines the socio- political-cultural circumstances surrounding the life and sporting career of Olympic weightlifter Naim Suleymanoglu, a Bulgarian-born Muslim of Turkish descent. This thesis examines several phases of Suleymanoglu’s life, much of which was devoted to aiding and abetting a mass exodus of Muslim ethnic-Turkish community members from Bulgaria to Turkey, the pursuit of Olympic achievement, and service to the enhancement of the sport of weightlifting in Turkey. By utilizing sports platforms and his remarkable success in weightlifting, widely reported by world media, Suleymanoglu’s life, in the end, translated to a new dimension surrounding the identification of Turkey in the sporting world, one in which weightlifting rivalled time-honoured wrestling as Turkey’s national sport.

Timişoara Physical Education and Rehabilitation Journal DOI: 10.2478/tperj-2019-0009 Statistical comparison related to service and reception of the volleyball team CSM Volei Alba Blaj in the CEV Champions League Final Four 2018 Ioan Sabin SOPA 1, Dan Alexandru SZABO2 Abstract Background: Volleyball game has developed and spread all over the world being more and more spectacular and dynamic. The importance of an objective analysis of the game has become decisive for obtaining the victory, and the statistical analysis of the specific parameters such as serve receiving, serves, points obtained, blocks can influence the results of the game. Aim: The purpose of the experiment was to analyze the decisive factors in the success or failure of the CSM Volleyball team Volei Alba Blaj in the Final Four CEV Champions League for women’s volleyball. Methods: The statistical analysis included descriptive statistics elements (mean, median, standard deviation), and elements of inferential statistics. The D’Agostino & Pearson test was applied to determine the distribution of the analyzed data series. For the comparison of means and medians the t-Student test was applied, for pair data, and the Wilcoxon test, respectively. The significance threshold chosen for the p value was 0.05. The statistical analysis was performed using the Graph Pad Prism utility. Results: We compared the two main parameters in the first phase of the volleyball game that consisted of service and service reception. The results were significant regarding the service parameter, where we compared the total number of good serves, serve errors and ace serves. Then, we have also analyzed the second parameter found in the first phase of the volleyball game, the serve reception.

S. SOPA1 D. A. SZABO2 Abstract: The research focused on analysing the parameters of attack and defence at high-level volleyball game in the Final Four Women CEV Champions League. The methods for analysing the results were Student t, Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon Test.The results of the investigation showed that significant statistical differences were found between the total numbers of attacks from the two games. Conclusions of the research showed that analysing all the compartments of the volleyball game can objectively discover the strong points and weaknesses of our game and improve future results.
