President and director of both • MHSAA founding member and the first treasurer, 1962 • Carman Collegiate Principal & Coach As a coach, his teams would win four Provincial championships, in three different sports (hockey, baseball and basketball) • Instrumental in starting a hockey program at Carman Collegiate in 1968. • Manitoba Amateur Hockey Association (now ), served two decades on executive including five as president in the 1970s. • Carman-Dufferin Minor Hockey Association - President • Canadian Amateur Hockey Association - Chairman • Sports Federation of Canada – two years as director • Canadian Olympic Association - four Years as Vice President • In 1974, he was a member of the committee that organized the first World Junior Hockey Championship, and at the same time was a member of the Congress of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) • Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) commissioner for 10 years starting in 1992. • Life Patron of , 1993 • Canadian Junior Hockey League and Hockey Manitoba – Life Member • Was an advocate for the Arts and largely responsible for the construction of the Carman Collegiate Theatre.
