Notice is HERBY GIVEN that North Somerset Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The general effect of the Order shall be to impose parking restrictions on Weston Road and Lovelinch Gardens. The extents are described in the Schedule to this Notice. There will be 4 restrictions types on the described roads. • Double yellow lines which will prevent waiting at all times. • Single yellow lines which prevent waiting between Monday and Friday between the hours of 8am and 9am and 3pm and 4pm. • Single yellow lines which prevent waiting between Monday and Saturday between the hours of 9am and 6pm. • Marked parking bays which restrict vehicles parking between the days of Monday and Saturday and between the hours of 9am and 6pm to a maximum stay of 2 hours. Full details of the proposal are contained in the draft Order which together with a plan, Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order and copy of the proposed and revoked plans may be inspected at the following locations: -

The District Council of North Somerset (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 36, 45, 46, 49, 53 and 122, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter referred to as “the Act of 1984”) and the Traffic Management Act 2004 as amended (hereinafter referred to as “the Act of 2004”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984, does hereby make the following Order:
1. THIS ORDER shall come into operation on the **th **** 20** and may be cited as the North Somerset District Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping and Waiting, Loading and Unloading, and On-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2017 (Variation No.9) Order 20**.
2. The North Somerset District Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping and Waiting, Loading and Unloading, and On-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2017 is hereby varied as follows:
(i) By removing the plans listed in Schedule 1 to this Order.
(ii) By inserting the plans listed in Schedule 2 to this Order.

The Council of North Somerset (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) in exercise of its powers under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter referred to as “the Act of 1984”) and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order shall come into operation on the **th **** 20** and may be cited as the North Somerset Council (Long Ashton) (20mph speed limit) (50mph Speed limit) Order 20**.
2. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 of this Order.
3. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 of this Order.
4. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3 (4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations when used in accordance with regulation 3 (5) of those regulations.
5. District Council of North Somerset (Various Roads, Barrow Gurney and Cambridge Batch Areas, North Somerset) (Restricted Roads) (40mph Speed Limit) (50mph Speed Limit) (De-Restriction) Order 1997 by virtue of which speed limits of 50mph miles per hour were imposed on the lengths of road specified in schedule 3 to this Order is hereby revoked insofar as it relates to those lengths of roads.

North Somerset Council proposes to change the speed limit on Weston Road in Long Ashton.
The proposed speed limits seek to reinforce people’s assessment of what is a safe speed to travel. They are designed to develop safe environments within the road system avoiding danger to persons or traffic using the road.

1. The County Council ofAvon (83130, Cambridge Batch, District ofWoodspring) (De- W~92o I Restriction) Order 1992 by virtue ofwhich the lengths ofroad specified in Schedule 1 to this order ceased to be restricted roads for the purposes ofsection 81 ofthe Act of 1984 is hereby revoked.
2. The lengths ofroad specified in Schedule 2 to this order shall be restricted roads for the purposes ofsection 81 ofthe Act of 1984.
3. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour on th\f owz lengths ofroad specified in Schedule 3 to this order.
4 No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding SO miles per hour on the length ofroad specified in Schedule 4 to this order.
5. The lengths ofroad specified in Schedule 5 to this order shall cease to be restricted roads ..f<.o\\"2... for the purposes ofsection 8 I ofthe Act of 1984.
6. This order shall come into operation on the 12th January 1998 and may be cited as the District Council of North Somerset (Various Roads, Barrow Gurney and Cambridge Batch Areas, North Somerset) (Restricted Roads) (40mph Speed Limit) (50mph Speed Limit) (De-Restriction) Order 1997.

"1 . The lengths of slip roads at Cambridge Batch, District ofWoodspring, in the County of Avon which com1ect the BJ 130 with the A370, Long Ashton Bypass and with description as follows:
A. from the junction with the B3 130 north ofthe Barrow Court Lane junction in a generally north westerly direction to the junction with the westbound carriageway ofthe A370, a distance measured along the said length of road ofapproximately 360 metres;
B. from the junction with the B3130 south ofthe A370 in a south westerly direction to the junction with the slip road specified in item A above, a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 84 metres;
C. from the junction with the westbound carriageway of the A370 in a westerly direction to its junction with the slip road specified in item A above immediately south of the A370, a distance measured along the said length of road of approximately l 06 metres;
D. from the junction with the eastbound carriageway ofthe A3 70 west ofthe BJ 130 in an easterly direction to the junction with the BJ 130, a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 294 metres;
E. from the junction with the B3130 in a south easterly direction to the junction with the eastbound carriageway ofthe A370 east of the B3130, a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 264 metres;
F. from the junction with the B3130 immediately north ofthe junction with the slip road specified in item D above in a north easterly direction to the slip road specified in item E above, a distance measured along the said length ofroad of approximately 16 metres.
2. That length of the B3 l 30 which extends from the junction with Barrow Court Lane in a northerly direction to a point 80 metres south of the junction with Weston Road, a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 550 metres."

I. That length ofthe D3130 BARROW STREET (Barrow Gurney) which extends from a point 110 metres east ofits junction with Wildcountry Lane to a point 180 metres north west ofits junction with School Lane, a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 660 metres
2. That length ofthe B3130 CLEVEDON ROAD (Cambridge Batch) which extends from a point 175 metres south ofits junction with Weston Road to a point 90 metres west of its junction with Old Weston Road, a distance measured along the said length ofroad of approximately 300 metres
3. The entire length of HOBBS LANE which extends from its junction with the 83130 Barrow Street to its junction with the A38 Bridgwater Road, a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 780 metres
4. The entire length ofOLD WESTON ROAD which extends from its junction with the 83130 Clevedon Road to its southern closed end, a distance measured along the said length ofroad of approximately 540 metres
5. The entire length ofREDWOOD LANE which extends from its junction with the 83130 Clevedon Road to its southern closed end, a distance measured along the said length of road ofapproximately 290 metres
6. The entire length ofSCHOOL LANE which extends from its junction with the B3130 Barrow Street to its western closed end, a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 180 metres
7. That length of WESTON ROAD (Cambridge Batch) which extends from its junction with the B3130 Clevedon Road in an easterly direction for a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 190 metres
8. That length of WILDCOUNTRY LANE (Barrow Gurney) which extends from its junction with the 83130 Barrow Street to its junction with Hern Lane, a distance measured along the said length ofroad of approximately 240 metres

5. The entire length ofVICARAGE LANE which extends from its junction with the B3130 Barrow Street to its southern closed end, a distance measured along the said length of road ofapproximately 290 metres
6. The following lengths of roads forming the slip roads situated at the Cambridge Batch Ro\Xl. Interchange which connect the B3 l 30 road with the A3 70 Long Ashton Bypass, which 0 extend : (i) from its junction with the 83130 ( north ofBarrow Court Lane) in a north westerly direction to a point 20 metres south east of its junction with the westbound carriageway of the A370, a distance measured along the said length ofroad of approximately 340 metres
(ii) from its junction with the 83130 (south ofthe A370) in a south westerly direction to its junction with the slip road specified in item (i) above, a distance measured along the said length ofro~d ofapproximately 84 metres
(iii) from a point 20 metres south west ofits junction with the westbound carriageway ofthe A370 in a south westerly direction to its junction with slip road specified in item (i) above, a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 86 metres
4 (iv) from a point 64 metres generally east of its junction with the eastbound carriageway of the A370 in a general easterly direction to its junction with the B3130 (north ofthe A370), a distance measured along the said length ofroad of approximately 230 metres
(v) from its junction with the B3130 (south of Redwood Lane) in a south easterly direction to a point 30 metres north west of its junction with the eastbound carriageway of the A370, a distance measured along the said length of road of approximately 234 metres
(vi) from its junction with the BJ 130 (north ofthe A370) in a north easterly direction to its junction with the slip road specified in item (v) above, a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 16 metres

(ii) from a point 30 metres north west ofits junction with the eastbound carriageway ofthe A3 70 in a south easterly direction to its junction with the eastbound carriageway ofthe A370, a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 30 metres
(iii) from its junction with the westbound carriageway of the A370 in a south westerly direction for a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 20 metres
(iv) from a point 20 metres south east ofits junction with the westbound carriageway ofthe A370 in a north westerly direction to its junction with the westbound carriageway ofthe A370, a distance measured along the said length ofroad ofapproximately 20 metres
