TOYS & DEMONSTRATIONS Toys and tenders complete the superyacht experience and with this in mind, the SYS 2017 presented an impressive array of the latest yacht accessories and equipment. From three person submarines to seabobs and inflatables, there was something for everyone.

Taking the experience to the next level, U-Boat Worx let visitors experience the depths of the sea from land through an underwater virtual reality dive experience. Situated on board Lady Quikglow, Funair showcased its range of inflatable slides, climbing walls and toys for all ages.

LIFESTYLE ACTIVITIES There’s more to the Singapore Yacht Show then just boats. Over the years, the Show has evolved to become an all-rounded experience with a flurry of activities on land. Supercar parades and fashion shows took place throughout the weekend. For the first time, the Esplanade was transformed into The Lawn, a pop-up hospitality area with food outlets and a ‘live’ DJ. There’s been a lot of talk on Asia rising as a yachting destination. What are your thoughts on this? I’m actually quite surprised it didn’t get popular sooner! The Club is sitting on land equivalent to the size of 23 football fields. The Clubhouse and marina add up to a total area of 123,000sqm. The marina, which is 5m deep, also hosts a total of 270 berths of which 13 are megayacht berths. As the Club grew in popularity over the years, so did its marina parking space. In recent times, there has been a long waiting list should you want to berth a yacht at the marina.

SILVER FAST

The biggest yacht to have sailed into the marina is the 77m SILVER FAST. Yachts and superyachts from all over the world have visited and docked at ONE°15. The season when the marina is the most packed is during the annual Singapore Yacht Show (SYS). In 2015, ONE°15 welcomed the magnificent Anastasia, a 75.5m superyacht built by Dutch shipyard Oceanco. That record was surpassed this year when SILVER FAST, a 77m superyacht and the biggest ever built by SILVERYACHTS, sailed in for the 2017 SYS. ONE°15 hopes to continue attracting some of the world’s finest superyachts to the region.

This year, the BAKING WITH Group has taken the lead to be the Title Sponsor for the upcoming SUTL FaithActs Charity Golf in June.

In addition, as part of SUTL’s efforts to support the organisation, 22 children FAITHACTS from FaithActs Youth were invited to ONE°15 for a baking session at Captain’s Table, LATITUDE Bistro on the afternoon of 24 March.

The afternoon began with a demonstration by Chef Nam who showed YOUTHS the children how to knead and roll the dough. Following that, the children donned their very own ONE°15 aprons and began making their cookies with the help of staff members.

While the cookies were sent to bake, participants were treated to a high tea session at LATITUDE Bistro. On the menu were a variety of sweets and savouries, including burgers and pastries. Once their cookies were done baking, the kids then proceeded to decorate them with icing. At the end of the day, the little master chefs brought home their creations. It was indeed a joyful day filled with laughter.
