Centaurea cyanus ‘Black Ball’ Dark maroon (Cornflower) Centaurea cyanus ‘Classic Pink/white Romantic’ (Cornflower) Cerinthe major var. An erect annual with obovate-spoon-shaped grey-green leaves that are white spotted. In spring and summer, tubular purple flowers are purpurascens produced, surrounded by purple bracts. Loved by bees in spring. May need some protection in harsh winters. Plant in sun or partial shade, in poor, well-drained soil. Good for chalk. Mature height and spread: to 60cm x 30cm. Hardiness: H3. Nigella damascena ‘Miss Jekyll’ (Love-in-a-mist) Nigella damascena ‘Mulberry An annual with finely divided, feathery, bright green leaves.
