ServicePoint: Installing PEM and PKI for ChromeOS (v1.0 CMS)

USING SERVICEPOINT ON ChromeOS/ The PKI & PEM files are security certificates that allow you to view ServicePoint. They only need to be installed once on each computer you use, then they will be saved for all future sessions in the same user account. If you’re unable to get to the ServicePoint login page at https://portland.servicept.com. call the helpline at 503.970.4408 to request the PKI and PEM files and follow these instructions to install them. You will also need a login and password to the ServicePoint system which the helpline can provide.

You must have both the PKI and PEM files for access to the ServicePoint login screen AND a login and password to login here.

- Plug in your . - Login to your user account on the Chromebook. If you don’t have one yet click on “add person” in lower left and add your -hosted account (i.e.: [email protected]). - Copy the PKI and PEM files to your Chromebook user account. You can receive the files by email, via Drive, on an SD card, or another method. Most commonly these will be emailed to you. They will need to be saved and downloaded from to your Downloads folder on the Chromebook. If the files are zipped together into one file, doubleclick them to unzip. - Launch Chrome browser. - Go to the three vertical dots on upper left and select “Settings.”

- Scroll down to bottom of “Settings” and check “Advanced.”

- Go to “Authorities” and select “import” and select the PEM file from Downloads.

- If prompted for Certificate Authority/ Trust Settings check all three boxes.

- Back in “Settings,” go to “Your Certificates” and select “import and bind.” - Select the P12 file from Downloads. - Enter the certificate password, Aubvn/2asza ServicePoint: Installing PEM and PKI files for ChromeOS (v1.0 CMS)

- Close “Settings.” - Open a new tab in Chrome and go to https://portland.servicept.com.

- When prompted to select a certificate choose “portland.servicept.com” and hit OK (it’s likely the only choice).

- After a moment you should see the ServicePoint login.
