GET YOUR GROOVE ON AT CELEBRATE ST. PETERS Where can you find four national touring musical acts in one place, for FREE? The answer: Celebrate St. Peters! This year’s Main Stage entertainment is sure to be a one-stop shop for great live music with not one, but two major acts each night! Young and old alike can get their groove on as these bands take the stage and bring back to life some of the great music of the 1970s. There’s no admission fee—just bring a lawn chair for seating! Friday Night Main Stage Entertainment Presented by 106.5 The Arch and Mid Rivers Newsmagazine Pablo Cruise Kicking it off for us Friday night are Pablo Cruise and Ambrosia. Experience “honest, real down to earth vocals, accompanied by fun yet elegant, infectious grooves” as Pablo Cruise takes you on an “easy going” trip back in time to hits such as “Whatcha Gonna Do When She Says Goodbye?” and “Love Will Find A Way.” Then, explore new musical territory with five-time Grammy nominated Ambrosia as they venture into the world of “progressive, classical and world influences… with the soul of the blues and R&B.” Their hit singles include their first Top 20 chart single, “Holdin’ On to Yesterday,” and two Billboard Hot 100 hits, “How Much I Feel” and “The Biggest Part of Me.” Blues Plus with The Sliders will open the Main Stage at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Ambrosia Saturday Night Main Stage Entertainment Presented by KSHE Saturday night will feature another chance for Firefall and Orleans, who were rained out at Celebrate St. Peters 2016, to entertain on the Main Stage. In their 40-year career with two Platinum albums, Firefall has toured the world with bands such as Fleetwood Mac, The Beach Boys, Journey and Heart. “You Are the Woman,” “Strange Way” and “Just Remember I Love You” are only a few of the Firefall hits you might remember from this band. Once named “the best unrecorded band in the country” by Rolling Stone magazine, Orleans, with their “R&B seasoned with Cajun” sound, will undoubtedly take you back in time to Woodstock, New York, in 1972, which was when the group was originally formed. Their unique pop/rock sound features hits “Dance With Me,” “Let There Be Music,” and “Still the One.” In between Main Stage acts, the night sky will light up with a Orleans fireworks display over the lake! The CELEBRATE STAGE will be rocking on Saturday afternoon with the good times and great oldies dance music of local favorite Butch Wax and The Hollywoods with R&B legend Theo Peoples! You can find the Celebrate Stage under the Corporate Pavilion. On Saturday afternoon, families are also sure to enjoy live entertainment, including three Butch Wax and shows by Abra-Kid-Abra, at the BJC St. Charles County Fun at the Fair Stage, located in the Hollywoods the COMMUNITY NEWS FAMILY AREA. To my husband, Karen, and Lisa – I love you. The end. “I look like a cake,” I mumble. I feel like shopping for a wedding dress is supposed to be memorable, but I’m not sure this is the right kind of memorable. “Do you know who designed that?” my mother asks and she follows up with a name I’ve never heard. I guess it’s impressive, though, because Kristen gasps. Abby just looks at me and shrugs, because she knows how things are. And Alana stares at everyone in the dressing room as if she took a wrong turn. Meanwhile, I look like a cake.
