TOSCANA: FIRENZE (Gennaio 2014) FIRENZE, gita di un giorno PAGINA DELLA TOSCANA Basilica di Santa Maria Novella Per la prima volta ho provato il treno "Frecciarossa", con cui si raggiunge Firenze Santa Maria Novella in poco più di un'ora e mezza, con partenza da Milano Centrale (il treno viaggia ad un velocità che sfiora e, talvolta supera, i 300 km orari). Il viaggio risale al 28 Gennaio 2014 ed è stato in giornata, con ritorno a Milano Centrale in serata. Visto che della città di Firenze ne ho già parlato dettagliatamente nel diario di viaggio del 2004 e, considerato che ho potuto rivedere solo i luoghi più salienti, questa pagina sarà più che altro un foto-diario di viaggio, con la didascalia di tutti i monumenti visitati e le vie percorse. The Association Corri la Vita Onlus, in collaboration with LILT, the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer, Florence Section, The Florence Marathon, and the Amateur Sport Associazione organize this delightful athletic event which is a run of approx. 13 km and approx. 5 km walk through the city of Florence. For many years Suzanne has had the pleasure of being on the committee organizing CORRI LA VITA, an event managed by volunteers to help the fight against breast cancer. Not only should you to “save the day” September 24, 2017, but you may want to take an active part, either by volunteering or opening you wallet, or both. Started in 2003 to raise funds and awareness of breast cancer, with the collaboration of the Italian Cancer Association – Florence. The proceeds are divided between projects and the main portion going to the Public Health Department of Florence for breast cancer patients.
