ANZAC DEDICATION Mr Andrew Lister, Returned Member

“At this hour, upon this day, ANZAC received its baptism of fire and became one of the immortal names in history. We who are gathered here, think of the comrades who went out with us to battle but did not return. We feel them still near us in sprit. We wish to be worthy of their great sacrifice. Let us therefore once more dedicate ourselves to the service of the ideals for which they died. As dawn is even now about to pierce the night, so let their memory inspire us to work the coming of the new light into the dark places of the world”. We will remember them. All repeat. “We will remember them”.

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before. Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe; forward into battle see his banners go!

Refrain: Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before. At the sign of triumph Satan's host doth flee; on then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise; brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise. (Refrain)
