WELCOME “Hello, my name is Audie Norris, I would like to invite you to join me in my Audie Norris Basketball Camp, along with my experienced coaches staff you will learn the skills that helped me to become an NBA and European professional basketball player. At my Camp you will also make friends for a lifetime, have an experience that you will remember forever and leave with skills that you didn’t have before. During this Camp boys and girls will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals that allowed me to become the player that I was. We will have other professional athletes during the weeks of our Camp to teach you different skills sets and helping you become a more refine basketball player.” - Coach Audie Norris The Audie Norris Basketball Camp is among the world’s finest youth basketball camps. Learn the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, rebounding, passing and defense from Audie Norris, one of the best American players that played in Europe and in NBA, along with his first class coaching staff. DATES The Audie Norris Basketball Camp 2016 consists of 3 sessions: 1st session: June 27th to July 1st 2016 2nd session: July 4th to July 8th 2016 3rd session: July 11th to July 15th 2016 Campers are welcome to register for one, two or three sessions of the Camp. ELIGIBILITY Boys and Girls Ages: from 6 years old and up ACCOMMODATION We offer two types of accommodation OVERNIGHT CAMP accommodation consists of full board, breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner and lodging DAY CAMP accommodation consists of lunch and snack LOCATION Sports facilities are located in Poliesportiu Municipal Gornal, Can Tries s/n. L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. Barcelona. Spain and it was hand chosen by Audie Norris and his staff for its many benefits. Poliesportiu Municipal Gornal offers great basketball facilities while on-site professional event staffing create an unforgettable experience for all campers. They will also be able to enjoy an olympic size swimming pool, and other activities like different type of games. All activities will be in English. The city of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat has been one of the locations of the Basketball World Championships training and the Swimming Competitions. It is known for its convenient accommodations for the highest level of athletic training. L’Hospitalet de Llobregat has been also part of the BCN Sports Film Festival with the projections of many movies about sports. There is a big high level sports tradition affiliated to the city because of the facility accommodations. Our campers will have access to the metro that will stop in front of the gym, the metro station’s name is GORNAL. The new metro line L9 connects Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Badalona, Barcelona, L'Hospitalet and El Prat, and it connects with the fair complex of Montjuïc and Gran vía, Ciudad de la Justicia and the Aeroport. ACCOMODATION Campers will be lodged at the Residencia Penyafort from Universidad de Barcelona a few minutes by metro to the Gym, only 2 metro stops. It is located in Avenida Diagonal, 639-641. Barcelona, Metro línea 3, stop “Palau Reial”, with excellent connection to the center of the city. Campers will stay in individual or double bedroom . They will be monitored 24 hours by members of our staff and they will take them to the gym every morning and take them back to the Residence. Breakfast and dinner will be served in the dining room at the Residence. It has bathrooms, WIFI, laundry, cafetería and common areas. During the weekend they will have full board with breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Residence. PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION Transportation is available for campers traveling along to and from the local airport ( BCN ), bus and train stations on the first and last day of each camp session. This service is provided upon request and charge separately. Those who will be in need of transportation can notify us by email. With its Ramblas, Barcelona is ranked the most popular city to visit in Spain, internationally renowned a tourist destination, with numerous recreational areas, one of the best beaches in the world mild and warm climate, historical monuments, including eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites, many good-quality hotels, and developed tourist infrastructure. Barcelona has a long sporting tradition and hosted the highly successful 1992 Summer Olympics as well as several matches during the 1982 FIFA World Cup (at the two stadiums). It has also hosted, among others, about 30 sports events of international significance. Pre-inscription: to book your spot in the Camp, make a pre-inscription by sending us an email to [email protected] Audie Norris will be in attendance of the 5 camp days per session and will be conducting personal lectures, interacting with the campers, having lunch with them, taking many photos and signing lots of autographs. PAYMENTS: Total payment: the correspondent discount could be applied Instalment payment: no discount can be applied, the payments will be as follow: 150 € March 1st, 100 € April 1st, 100 € May 1st . There will be many gifts for the Campers, these are only a few from last year SPECIAL GUESTS Last year Camp had the honor of having big legends and players of the International Basketball as Roger Esteller, Xavi Crespo, Andrés Jiménez, Lucas Mondelo, Roberto Mena and other important personalities from the basketball world as Dr. José Manuel Couceiro, Juan Carlos Mitjana, Kevin Wilson y Víctor Lavagnini. For this year we are looking for the participation of more big legends of the basketball world such as Juan Antonio San Epifanio ( Epi ), Santiago Abad, Fernando Romay, Daryl Middleton, José Luís Galilea, Nacho Solozábal… among others, they will be with us teaching clinics, lectures and available to receive questions from all the campers. WHAT TO BRING Each camper is required to bring the following to Camp: personal hygiene items, towel, shower gel, basketball footwear, athletic socks, sweat suit, swimsuit, shower shoes, swim cap, alarm clock. It is recommended that each camper’s apparel be marked with his or her name. DO NOT bring watches, iPod’s, iPad’s, Expensive headphones, cell phones, TVs, radios, video games, etc. Audie Norris is not responsible for the theft of any of the aforementioned items. INSURANCE AND MEDICAL CARE All campers must carry their own medical insurance. Because of the rigorous daily schedule, each camper should come to camp in excellent physical condition. Every conceivable effort is made to protect the camper's health and safety through the extensive training of our staff, constant inspection of equipment, and supervised instruction for campers. If a medical situation should arise, the cost for treatment of injuries and hospitalization for illness or injuries while attending the Camp will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian of the participant.
