EFF STATEMENT ON SECOND NATIONAL PEOPLES ASSEMBLY, PARLIAMENT DEPLOYMENTS AND OTHER POLITICAL ISSUES Tuesday, 02 July, 2019 NATIONAL PEOPLE’S ASSEMBLY At its Special Meeting convened on the 1st of July, 2019, the Central Command Team resolved that the EFF Second National People’s Assembly will be convened on the 13 - 16 December, 2019 at the Expo Centre, Nasrec under the theme “Consolidating the Ground Towards Socialist Power”. The National People’s Assembly is an elective conference of the EFF, the highest decision-making body and, according to the EFF Constitution, takes place every five years. Accordingly, the CCT has adopted guidelines that pave the path towards the election of delegates from branches, including in regions, and provinces. These will be published on the EFF website for easy access. Within these guidelines are strict rules and deadlines for election of delegates, audit of branches, as well as conduct of all fighters and commissars on lobbying for leadership positions. Members and leaders of the EFF are therefore called upon to internalise these guidelines and participate in the lead up to this assembly with the highest discipline and determination. The Discussion Documents will also be published on the EFF website and they will be sent to branches, so that branches are not only ceased with matters of leadership but they also discuss the state of the nation in South Africa through the Discussion Documents of the EFF and provide what could be a sustainable solution to the challenges that are confronting the poor masses of our people on the ground. PARLIAMENT COMMITTEE DEPLOYMENTS Post 2019 General Elections, the EFF increased its seats from 31 to 53 Members of Parliament (MPs), with 44 in the National Assembly (NA) and 9 in the National Council of Provinces (NCOP). -

ABSTRACT Bacteria are present in stingless bee nest products. However, detailed information on their characteristics is scarce. Thus, this study aims to investigate the characteristics of bacterial species isolated from Malaysian stingless bee, Heterotrigona itama, nest products. Honey, bee bread and propolis were collected aseptically from four geographical localities of Malaysia. Total plate count (TPC), bacterial identification, phenotypic profile and enzymatic and antibacterial activities were studied. The results indicated that the number of TPC varies from one location to another. A total of 41 different bacterial isolates from the phyla Firmicutes, Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria were identified. Bacillus species were the major bacteria found. It has been my privilege to follow its progress and watch the book take shape. STERNBILD GIRAFFE (Camelopardalis – Cam) Die GIRAFFE ist ein Sternbild des nördlichen Himmels. Sie kulminiert im Dezember gegen 24h. Es ist ein unauffälliges Sternbild und besteht aus visuell lichtschwachen Sternen, beinhaltet aber interessante Mehrfachsterne und Deep Sky- Objekte. Für ungeübte Beobachter ein Tip: fast alle Sterne, die zwischen dem POLARSTERN und CAPELLA aufzuspüren sind, gehören zur Giraffe. Im Februar und März 2016 zeigt sich der Komet C/2013 US10 CATALINA in diesem Sternbild. Die Giraffe befindet sich innerhalb der Koordinaten RE 14h 26’ bis 03h 15’ und DE +52° bis +86°; Die Nachbarsternbilder sind im Norden KEPHEUS, im Westen KASSIOPEIA, im Süden PERSEUS, FUHRMANN und LUCHS sowie im Osten der GROßE BÄR, DRACHE und KLEINE BÄR Die Giraffe ist nördlich von 37° geogr. Breite zirkumpolar und südl. von –4° nicht mehr vollständig sichtbar. Die Objekte: 1. die Markierungssterne 2. Parthenogensis
PARTHENOGENSIS Parthenogenesis is the development of an egg without fertilization. (Gr.Parthenos=virgin; gensis=birth). The individuals formed by parthenogenesis are called parthenotes. Parthenogenesis may be of two types. They are natural parthenogenesis and artificial parthenogenesis. 1. NATURAL PARTHENOGENESIS When parthenogenesis occur spontaneously, it is said to be natural parthenogenesis. Parthenogenesis is a regular natural phenomenon in a few groups of animals. Some animals reproduce exclusively by parthenogenesis. 1 In some other species, parthenogenesis alternates with sexual reproduction. Based on this, natural parthenogenesis is divided into two groups, namely complete parthenogenesis and incomplete parthenogenesis. 1) Complete Parthenogenesis In certain animal parthenogenesis is the only method of reproduction. This type of parthenogenesis is called complete or total or obligatory parthenogenesis. Populations exhibiting total parthenogenesis consist entirely of females. There are no males. E.g. Lacerta (lizard). 1) Incomplete Parthenogenesis In some animals parthenogenesis reproduction and sexual reproduction occur alternately. This is called incomplete or cyclical parthenogenesis. 2 Example a. In gallflies, there is one parthenogenetic reproduction and one sexual reproduction per year (P,S,P,S, (P,S,………). b. In aphids, daphnids and rotifers one sexual reproduction occurs in summer after many parthenogenetic reproductions, (P,P,P,P,P,S,…..P,P,P,P,P,S……..P,). Natural parthenogenesis is further classified into two types. They are haploid parthenogenesis or arrhenotoky and diploid parthenogenesis or thelytoky. A. Haploid Parthenogenesis or Arrhenotoky It is the development of a hyploid egg into a haploid animal. All the haploid individulas are males. Arrhenotoky occur in insects, rotifers and arachnids. 3 i. Haploid Parthenogenesis in insects: In insects haploid parthenogenesis is exhibited by hymenoptera, homoptera, colepters and thysanoptera. -
