The money museum is housed within the Central Bank of (CBB), in the Diplomatic Area in . The museum has some very rare coins of the Arab countries, as well as a lot of other interesting exhibits. The museum also presents the first banknotes and coins that were issued by Central Banks of the Cooperation Council of Arab States.

Qalat al Bahrain

Qal’at Al-Bahrain, or also known as Fort of Bahrain, is an archaeological wonder nestled along the Arabian Peninsula. In 2005, it was recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It also used to be the capital of the era. The site is significant in Bahrain for its antiquity.

The Bahrain National Museum is an achievement of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to preserve the nation’s heritage and history. The museum was inaugurated in 1988 by the late Emir Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa. Built on a central location between Manama and , Bahrain National Museum houses 9 main halls, and classifies the accumulated heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain into 6 different sections. Visitors to the museum are taken on a 4,000 year journey through time as they pass through its halls, from the traditional handicrafts hall, to the customs and traditions hall, burial mounds hall, ancient documents and manuscripts hall, hall, and Islamic period hall.
