Personal Nutrition Philosophy Food and nutrition are symbols of the blends of our cultures, identities, traditions, environment, security and diplomacy. Eating healthfully is not about the what, how, when, and if we should eat. It transcends beyond to encompass a response of hearts, minds, souls and stomachs. Make the effort to connect with those determinants governing what’s on our plate. Our nutrition and health outcomes come as a result of how people interact and behave around them.

Personal Nutrition Philosophy It is my personal philosophy that nutrition education is no longer just imparting information, or bombarding people with nutrition messages, but rather engaging people, inspiring action- from villagers to national policy makers – to do something different in order to improve nutrition. The word “creativity”, meaning “the power to bring into existence or the ability to create”, may be seen as an alien factor in nutrition work, where typically the players are trained as scientists. But just as we utilize interdisciplinary teams within the hospitals to provide the highest level of patient care, we also need an interdisciplinary team to work together to create actions. These actions, I believe, need to be rational, sustainable and equitable among communal, national and global food systems in order to promote and sustain the health, well-being, and integrity of all.

Personal Nutrition Philosophy Nutritionists, researchers, and public health professionals offer a unique vantage point from which to share accurate, evidence-based and culturally relevant nutrition information for the promotion of true health and wellness. It is up to us, as professionals, to disseminate information in everyday language for everyday life.

I help individuals cultivate health and wellness through a non-diet, weight-inclusive, culturally-relevant approach. Given my vantage point as a university lecturer, course creator, dietitian, writer and mother of two living abroad, I offer a unique perspective on nutrition, health, dietary patterns, and eating behaviors. As a lover of travel, I find joy in learning from new experiences, different cultures, and traditional foods which promote health and longevity. Living in Barcelona, Spain, for nine years now, has taught me that food is more than the sum of its parts, and that tradition and culture—instead of dieting and pop culture—can serve as the model for a pathway to health. Personal Nutrition Philosophy Nutrition is a science, and oncology nutrition is a really technical and scientific knowledge. For cancer, 3 cares together: chimio/radio or immunotherapy + oncology nutrition+ physical activity. The global results are very different!

Other my field is epigenetic, and I try to work more and more about prevention. So, oncology nutrition is a unique and often unknow field, unfortunately. My personal nutrition approach is really technical skill, scientific knowledge with the best latest nutrition therapeutic modality, Evidence Based Nutrition tailored for each patient and situation, and more, a really deeper amical relationship and communication between me, patients and your families.

All my patient are followed 7/7 with whatsapp, for critical situations about nutrition or stress or mental other. Must never forget that patients are individual human, not only “ cases”, and oncology patients for me are very special people. With and thanks warmth, empathy and compassion, is more easy for patients and your family to follow my nutritional planning. Sometimes is necessary a really drastic change, but all my results are excellent, about secondary effects therapy, quality of life, remission.

I think a healthy nutrition it should be the first medicine in the future and my dream is that oncology nutrition and physical activity become a protocol for all oncology patients in the world, with human centeredness in a global approach.
