So it is essential to know the water method for sources time to time for the calm change. About 97% of the earth’s surface is covered by water and about 60-65% of water is present in the animal and plant bodies. 2.4% are present on glaciers and polar ice caps. Heavy metals can be found in industrial waste water are deemed undesirable. Exposure of heavy metals in environment degrades the ecosystem which harms the inhabitants. In this paper various parameters have been discussed such as hardness, cadmium, magnesium, chromium, arsenic, iron, calcium, BOD, COD, TDS, pH, conductivity, and temperature for this review study. In this paper nature of ground water, surface water of Chandigarh adjacent areas, for example, Parwano, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) have been discussed on the premise of reports accessible online. However, not a lot of studies have been coordinated to check the water way of this area but on the basis of available information, it was found that that the water quality in a portion of the spots is underneath the benchmarks of water quality endorsed by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).Appropriate working of Sewerage Treatment Plants (STPs) should be checked also, Industrial waste ought to be appropriately treated before setting off to the catchment ranges.

In this study, Acreage Estimation of Vegetables in northern Punjab is carried out by using Multidate IRS - P6 AWiFS Data sets of seven dates viz., September (30), October (14, 24), November (17), December (25), January (4, 13). The aim of this study is to detect area estimation under winter vegetables in Punjab districts between 2005 - 2008 using satellite images. Vegetable area carried out by decision rule based classification: two models are created, one for acreage estimation of vegetables the other for generation of NDVI of all date satellite data. After classification of the image, classified image is recoded to merge different classes of the single output category in one category. Winter Vegetables have been detected by image processing method in EDRAS imagine9.3, ArcGIS9.3. In study area, as a whole there is positive change (14.9%) in area under vegetable crop. But two districts, namely, Kapurthala and Jalandhar have experienced negative change .But in another three districts Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Hoshiarpur districts have recorded positive change in area under vegetable. Visit of Kinnow / guava orchards under area expansion programme in Abohar (Fazilka), Ludhiana and Fatehgarh- Sahib Districts provided better hope for production and productivity of fruits. 4. Plantation of intercrops need to be finalized for Kinnow in consultation with SAU’s /ICAR with more emphasis on vegetable / pulses and oil crops keeping in view the demand of farmers.
