BACH – retired Director of Research CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) at the Emil Durkheim Centre of the University of Bordeaux and professor at Sciences Po Bordeaux and ISEG (University of Lisbon). It holds a Diplôme d’Habiliation à Diriger des Recherches (University of Bordeaux I), a doctorate from Oxford University, DES of University Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Bachelor degree at Institut d’Etudes Poli- tiques, University of Grenoble. Former director of the Center d’Etude d’Afrique noire in Bordeaux, he was also Deakin Fellow at St Antony’s College (Oxford University), Ful- bright scholar at Boston University and co-worker of the Indian Council for Social Studies (Jawaharlal Nehru University). He is the author of numerous publications on Nigerian federalism, foreign policy of Nigeria and South Africa, regional organizations and region- alization processes in Africa. Roman BÄCKER – Professor of Political Sciences at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. The president of Polish Political Science Association in 2010–2016, the first dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Studies, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, the author and co-author of books and articles about Russian and European politi- cal thought, totalitarianism, the theory of politics, and methodology of political sciences. Piotr BARANOWSKI – M.A., is a PhD candidate at the Department of Non-European Political Studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Journalism at the Adam Mick- iewicz University. His research involves system’s theory, geopolitics and cybernetics as a basis to study international system. His master thesis “Cybernetic Approach in Measuring State Power” was awarded the best one of 2015 by Faculty’s Dean. Bogusław JAGUSIAK – Full Professor in (2017), since September 2012 is the Head of Department of National Security at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw. Rafał OŻAROWSKI – works as Associate professor in the Chair of Security at the Facul- ty of Law and Administration at the University of Business and Administration in Gdynia. He conducts his research on international security in the Middle East with a special focus on militarised non-state actors, international terrorism, Lebanese and Iranian policy in the Middle East. He is the author of two monographs, co-editor of many books and author of many scientific articles.
